Safety Precautions
Follow all product safety and operating instructions. Pay attention to all warning messages on the product and in the manual.
General Precautions:
- Do not attempt to repair the product yourself unless specified in the manual. Opening the casing may expose you to electric shock. Repairs should be done by authorized service providers.
- Disconnect power and contact authorized service if the power cord, extension cord, or plug is damaged; if liquid enters the product; if the product is exposed to rain or water; if the product is dropped or damaged; if there are overheating warnings; or if the product does not operate normally.
- Place the product away from heat sources like radiators, heaters, or amplifiers.
- Do not use the product in damp environments.
- Do not insert foreign objects into vents or openings, as these are designed for cooling.
- Install the product on a stable surface. Use only manufacturer-recommended accessories.
- Avoid using the product in areas accessible to children.
Power Cord & Accessory Safety:
- Use only the correct type of power source specified on the product's rating label.
- If a voltage selection switch is present, ensure it is set to the correct voltage (115VAC or 230VAC) for your region.
- Use only locally approved power cords that meet the product's rated current and voltage requirements. The minimum wire diameter should be 0.75mm² (2/18 AWG), and the cord length should be between 1.2-2 meters (4-6.5 feet).
- Route power cords carefully to prevent them from being stepped on or pinched. Protect plugs, sockets, and cable connections.
- Do not overload power outlets, power strips, or extension cords. The total load should not exceed 80% of the circuit's rated capacity.
- If using extension cords or power strips, ensure they meet the product's rating. The combined rated current of all connected devices should not exceed 80% of the extension cord/power strip's rating.
Correct Power Cord & Connection Usage:
- Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet that is easily accessible for disconnection.
- Do not disable the grounding plug; it is an important safety feature.
- To disconnect power, unplug the power cord from the outlet.
- When unplugging, grip the plug firmly, not the cable.
Assembly Safety:
- The +12V output carries dangerous energy. Ensure the power supply is completely disconnected before assembly.
- The PSU casing has exposed fan and connector areas. Ensure the enclosure meets electrical and fire safety requirements. All other casing parts should not be exposed, and any openings must be protected to prevent electric shock or fire hazards.
Enclosure Requirements for PSU Installation:
- The enclosure material must be metal or aluminum.
- Circular openings on the top and sides of the enclosure should not exceed 5mm in diameter.
- Slit openings on the top and sides should not exceed 5mm diagonally. If the width is less than 1mm, the length is not restricted. The bottom of the enclosure should not have any openings.
- The bottom of the enclosure must not have any openings.
