ENERMAX MaxTytan Series Power Supply Units
Model Numbers: EMT750EWT, EMT800EWT
Introduction
Thank you for choosing the ENERMAX MaxTytan power supply unit (PSU). Please read this manual carefully and follow its instructions before installing the PSU.
Compatibility
The ENERMAX MaxTytan series is compliant with:
- Intel ATX12V Power Supply Design Guide v2.4 specification and downward compatible with v2.0, v2.01, and v2.2.
- ATX System Design Guide v2.2, v2.1.
- BTX/ EEB/ CEB/EPS12V standards.
This PSU does not support motherboards (MB) with ISA expansion slots, which might require -5V power. -5V has been cancelled from Intel ATX12V v1.3 specification onwards.
Environmental Recommendations
To avoid failures and increase the lifetime of your PC, ensure that:
- Your PC is NOT located near a radiator or any other heat-producing device.
- Your PC is NOT located near a magnetic device.
- Your PC is NOT located in a moist and/or dusty and/or vibrating environment.
- Your PC is NOT exposed to direct sunshine.
- Your PC is sufficiently cooled by additional fans.
Multi-GPU Installation Advisory
If you plan to install 2 or more high-end, power-demanding GPU cards, please choose a motherboard that comes with extra 4-Pin Molex / 4-Pin FDD / 6-Pin PCI-E power sockets and connect them to your power supply. This will prevent the motherboard from overloading and potentially causing damage to your system, including the power supply. Damage caused by failing to follow this instruction will not be covered under Enermax manufacturer’s warranty. Please refer to your motherboard’s user manual to configure your system properly.

Safety Precautions
Please follow all product safety and operating instructions. Pay attention to all warning messages on the product and in the operation manual.
General Safety
- Unauthorized Repair: Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Opening the PSU casing may expose you to electric shock. Repairs should only be performed by authorized service providers.
- Damaged Components: If the power cord, extension cord, or plug is damaged; if liquid has spilled into the product or foreign objects have fallen into it; if the product has been rained on or immersed in water; if the product has been dropped or damaged; if there is an overheating warning message; or if the product does not operate normally when following the operating instructions, unplug the power cord and contact an authorized service provider.
- Heat Sources: Place the product away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, or other heat-producing products (including amplifiers).
- Moisture: Do not use the product in a humid environment.
- Ventilation: Do not insert foreign objects into the product's casing slots or openings. These slots are designed for ventilation; do not block or cover them.
- Installation: Do not place the product on an unstable platform, cart, stand, or table. Use only mounting accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
- Stability: Do not place the product on an unstable surface. Do not place heavy objects on the product.
- Approved Accessories: Use only with approved accessories.
Power Cord and Accessory Safety
- Power Source: Ensure the power source matches the product's rating label. If unsure, consult an authorized service provider or your local power company.
- Voltage Selection: If a voltage selection switch is provided, ensure it is set to the correct voltage (115VAC or 230VAC) for your location.
- Power Cord: Use a power cord approved for your country. It must meet the product's rated current and voltage requirements. The minimum wire diameter should be 0.75mm² (18AWG), and the length should be between 1.5 to 2 meters (5 to 6.5 feet).
- Cord Routing: Route power cords so they are not likely to be walked on or pinched. Do not place anything on the cord. Protect the plug, receptacle, and the point where the cord exits the computer.
- Overload: Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or convenience receptacles. The total load on the circuit should not exceed 80% of its rated capacity. For power strips, the load should not exceed 80% of the strip's input rating.
- Extension Cords: Ensure extension cords and power strips meet the product's rating. The sum of the rated current (amperes) of all products connected to the extension cord or power strip should not exceed 80% of the extension cord or power strip's rated current.
Proper Use of Power Cords and Connectors
- Plug the power cord into an easily accessible grounded power outlet.
- Do not defeat the grounding plug; it is an important safety feature.
- To disconnect the computer's power, unplug the power cord from the outlet.
- When unplugging a cable, pull by the plug, not the cable itself.
Voltage Converters
Do not attempt to use appliance voltage converters to power the computer.
Cleaning
Unplug the product's power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Wipe the product with a damp cloth.
Operating Environment
- Maximum operating ambient temperature: 50°C.
- Power tolerance: +10%, -10%.
Assembly Safety
- Electrical Hazard: The +12V output carries dangerous energy. Ensure the power is completely disconnected before assembly to avoid electric shock.
- Casing Protection: The external parts of this product's casing, including the fan and electrical connectors, are exposed. They meet electrical and fire-resistant casing requirements. Ensure the rest of the casing is not exposed and that there are no openings around it, as this could lead to electric shock or fire.
PSU Installation Casing Requirements
For user protection and fire prevention, this power supply must be installed in a casing that meets the following requirements:
- Casing material must be metal or aluminum.
- Circular openings on the top and sides of the casing must not exceed a maximum inner diameter of 5mm.
- Slotted openings on the top and sides of the casing must not exceed a diagonal distance of 5mm. If the width is less than 1mm, the length is not restricted.
- The bottom of the casing must not have any openings.
