Product Overview
The Tivoli VAST Cove Light - PALETTE is an advanced RGB+W cove lighting solution featuring a dedicated white chip with color temperature options ranging from 2700K to 6000K. It offers DMX control with RDM (Remote Device Management) or DMX with Auto Addressable features. The fixture is self-ballasted for 100-277V AC input and delivers up to 450 lumens per foot, depending on the CCT. It supports a maximum run length of up to 120 feet and features flexible connectors that accommodate curved applications. An adjustable mounting bracket is included for desired angling. The product is suitable for Dry/Damp locations, boasts an IP54 rating, and comes with a 5-year warranty.
Dimensions and Design

MADRIX Key and License Upgrades
A USB dongle unlocks the software's full output. Users can freely switch between different PCs as it is not bound to a specific one and only needs to be activated online once. MADRIX 5 License Upgrades allow users to upgrade their MADRIX 5 KEY to any higher license at any time, increasing the available output.

DMX Controls
Various DMX control options are available for the VAST Cove Light system:
- TVOQ-10-XX-7: A touchscreen controller with 1024 DMX channels, 500 scenes, and 10 zones, featuring a glass touch screen. XX can be BK (black) or WH (white).
- TVOQ-2-BK: A black touchscreen controller with 512 DMX channels and 99 scenes.
- TVOQ-1-WH: A white touchscreen controller with 16 DMX channels, 16 scenes, and 4 zones, featuring a glass touch screen.
- ARTNET-S-8-512: An 8-port universe Artnet to DMX interface supporting 4096 DMX channels, programmable for playback and live support, with online or offline options.
- MDRX-AURA-XX: The MADRIX Aura is a stand-alone controller available in 2, 12, or 32 ports, supporting up to 2, 12, or 32 universes per unit.
Network Hardware
Supporting network hardware includes:
- ARTNET-L-X-512: An 8 or 16-port universe Artnet to DMX interface, supporting 8192 DMX channels (16-port) or 4096 DMX channels (8-port), available online only.
- NTG-SWI-XXPT: A NETGEAR 16-port gigabit unmanaged switch, available in 8 or 16 ports.
- DMX-SPLT-8: A DMX Splitter with 8 ports of DMX 512, featuring RJ45 and 3-pin hardwire connections.
- DMX3-CAT5-ADPTR: A DMX Adapter with a 3-pin XLR Female to RJ45 connector.
Note: If the number of DMX fixtures exceeds 32 units, a DMX Splitter is required to duplicate and amplify the DMX signal.
Wiring Diagrams
ARNET-S (Stand Alone) Wiring
The offline wiring diagram for ARNET-S (Stand Alone) illustrates a setup where an ARTNET-S-8-512 Artnet to DMX Interface is connected via a DMX3-CAT5-ADPTR (3-pin male to RJ45) to a VAST-T-CONN-XLR-3 (T Connector), which then connects via a JUMPER-XLR3P-X (3-pin XLR Jumper Cable) to a VAST Cove Light. An optional NTG-SWI-8PT Ethernet switch is also shown, connected by CAT-5 (RJ45) cables. The power source is 100-277V AC. A VAST-5P-EC End Cap is used at the end of the fixture run.
TivoCUE (Stand Alone) Wiring
The TivoCUE (Stand Alone) wiring diagram shows a TivoCue10 DMX Controller connected to a VAST Cove Light. Two connection methods are detailed: one using a VAST-T-CONN-SIG (T Connector Hardwire) and the other using a VAST-T-CONN-XLR-3 (T Connector) with a VAST-JUMPER-5P-X (5 Pin Jumper Cable). Both paths lead to the VAST Cove Light, powered by 100-277V AC. A VAST-5P-EC End Cap is also shown.
LIVE CONFIGURATION Wiring (Online)
The online wiring diagram for LIVE CONFIGURATION shows an ARTNET-L-8/16-512 Artnet to DMX interface and an NTG-SWI-8PT Ethernet switch connected via CAT-5 (RJ45) cables. These are linked through a VAST-T-CONN-XLR-3 (T Connector) and a JUMPER-XLR3P-X (3-pin XLR Jumper Cable) to a VAST Cove Light. The setup requires a 100-277V AC power source, and a VAST-5P-EC End Cap is used.
