Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of this Power Dynamics product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the unit in order to benefit fully from all features.
Read the manual prior to using the unit. Follow the instructions to avoid invalidating the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician.
Safety Precautions
General Safety:
- Consult a specialist before use.
- A slight smell may occur on first use; this is normal.
- Do NOT open the housing as it contains voltage-carrying parts.
- Do not place metal objects or liquids into the unit to prevent electrical shock and malfunction.
- Do not place the unit near heat sources, on vibrating surfaces, or cover ventilation holes.
- The unit is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead; do not damage it.
- When unplugging, always pull the plug, never the lead.
- Do not plug or unplug with wet hands.
- If the plug or mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the unit is damaged and internal parts are visible, do NOT plug it in or switch it on. Contact your dealer.
- To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain and moisture.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
- Connect to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- Unplug during thunderstorms or if not used for extended periods.
- If the unit has not been used for a long time, condensation may occur. Allow it to reach room temperature before switching on.
- Never use the unit in humid rooms or outdoors.
- Follow applicable guidelines and instructions to prevent accidents in companies.
- Do not repeatedly switch the unit on and off; this shortens its lifespan.
- Keep the unit out of the reach of children and do not leave it unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays on switches; residues can cause dust and grease deposits. Seek specialist advice for malfunctions.
- Do not force controls.
- Keep the unit at least 60cm away from computers or TVs due to potential magnetic fields from the speaker.
- If the product has a built-in lead-acid battery, recharge it every 3 months if not used for a long period to prevent permanent damage.
- If the battery is damaged, replace it with one of the same specifications and dispose of it environmentally.
- If the unit has fallen, have it checked by a qualified technician before switching it on again.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit; use a dry cloth only.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Use only original spare parts for repairs to avoid damage or dangerous radiation.
- Switch the unit off before unplugging it from the mains or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables before moving the unit.
- Ensure the mains lead cannot be damaged by people walking on it. Check the mains lead for damage before each use.
- Verify the mains voltage (220-240Vac/50Hz) matches your power outlet.
- Keep original packaging for safe transport.

The unit is CE certified. Modifications are prohibited and will invalidate the CE certificate and guarantee.
Operating Temperature: The unit must be used in rooms with a temperature between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F for normal operation.
Disposal: Electric products must not be disposed of with household waste. Please take them to a recycling center. Specifications are typical and may change without notice.
Warranty: Do not attempt self-repairs or modifications, as this voids the warranty. The warranty does not cover accidents or damages caused by improper use or failure to follow warnings. Power Dynamics is not responsible for personal injuries or damages resulting from failure to comply with safety recommendations.
Unpacking Instructions
CAUTION! Immediately upon receiving the product, carefully unpack the carton and check that all parts are present and in good condition. Notify the shipper immediately if any parts are damaged or missing. Retain packing material for inspection. If the product must be returned, it must be in the original factory box and packing.
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations (e.g., after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. Condensation may damage the device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
Power Supply
Check the label on the back of the product for the required power supply voltage. Ensure your mains voltage matches. Connecting to other voltages may cause irreparable damage. The product must be connected directly to the mains; do not use a dimmer or adjustable power supply.
Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). Ensure the device has appropriate electrical grounding to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.
Control Panel
The DS50A features the following controls:
- AUX INPUT: 3.5mm (stereo) mini jack for connecting various audio sources.
- LOOP OUTPUT: Stereo line-signal output for connecting to active speakers.
- SUB OUTPUT: Bass output for connecting to a subwoofer.
- SLAVE SPEAKER OUTPUT: Output for connecting with an active slave speaker.
- POWER LED: Indicates power status. Blue when 'ON', flashes blue when a signal is detected in 'AUTO' mode, off when 'OFF'.
- RCA LINE INPUT: Stereo RCA input jacks for connecting audio sources like CD players or tape decks.
- SPEAKER INPUT: Line signal speaker input.
- TREBLE CONTROL: Adjusts high frequencies (treble).
- BASS CONTROL: Adjusts low frequencies (bass).
- MASTER VOLUME: Controls the overall volume.
- POWER ON/OFF/AUTO SWITCH: Turns the unit ON or OFF. In 'AUTO' mode, the amplifier turns on when a signal is detected and goes to standby when no signal is detected.
- POWER SUPPLY: Insert the included power cord here.
Connect BT
To connect via Bluetooth:
- Activate the BT function on your device (mobile phone, tablet, etc.). Refer to your device's manual.
- Press the "BT PAIR" button to activate BT function.
- Select "PD DS50" on your BT device to establish the connection.
If a password is required, enter "0000".
Note: BT distance is approximately 10 meters without barriers.
