BE COOL Air Conditioner WiFi and App Function Manual
General Information
Thank you for purchasing a BE COOL air conditioner. These instructions apply specifically to air conditioners equipped with WiFi functionality. Please read this manual carefully before operating the device and retain it for future reference.
Important Note: Do not attempt to disconnect the WLAN module from the device yourself.
Due to ongoing technical updates and improvements to the app, there may be minor deviations between the actual functions of the device and the instructions provided in this manual. BE COOL appreciates your understanding and recommends comparing the instructions with the current state of the device.
Download the App
To download the latest app software, you can scan the QR code provided in the original document. Alternatively, the "Smart Life - Smart Home" app can be downloaded directly from the Apple App Store for iOS devices or Google Play Store for Android devices. The latest version of the app software includes functionalities for controlling air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and portable air conditioners.

Install the App
After downloading the app software, proceed with the installation on your smartphone. Once installed, the "Smart Life" app icon will appear on your smartphone's display.

Activate QR Code
- Upon the first launch of the app, an activation interface will be displayed. You can either scan the QR activation code (by tapping "Scan" and then scanning the QR code found in this manual or on the device) or manually enter the activation code (by typing "Activation Code" at the bottom of the page) and then tapping the corresponding command to activate.
- The QR activation code for the air conditioner is provided in the original document.
- The activation code for the air conditioner in words is: BE COOL.

Register User Account
To register a new user account, click the "Register" button to access the registration interface. You have the option to register using your email address, mobile number, or a social network account.

Login User Account
- To log in to your user account, enter your registered email address or phone number and your password. Then, select "Login".
- To log in using your phone number, select "Sign in with SMS". The next page will appear. Enter your phone number and select "Retrieve" to receive a verification code. Enter the received code and then select "Login".
- Alternatively, you can log in using your Facebook or Twitter account by clicking on the respective icons.

Forgot Password
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by following these steps:
- Select the "Forgot Password" option to navigate to the next page.
- Enter your registered phone number or email account and select "Next" on the subsequent page.
- A confirmation code will be sent to you. Enter this code and then create a new password.
- Finally, tap "Confirm" to complete the process.

Add a Device
- Press the "Add Device" button to proceed to the next page and select the appropriate product type.
- There are two methods for device matching: "CF" mode or "AP" mode.
- You can select the desired mode by choosing the corresponding button.

Add Device (CF Mode) - Quick Connection
This section guides you through the quick connection process using CF Mode.
- Follow the instructions displayed on your smartphone.
- Select your home router from the list, enter the router's password, and then press "Next" to continue.

- The app will automatically begin searching for the device. During this process, "PP" will appear on the air conditioner's display.
- After a successful scan, the device will automatically begin to connect, and "SA" will be shown on the air conditioner's display.
- Upon successful connection, "AP" will appear on the air conditioner's display.
- You can now rename the device as desired, share it with family members, or select "Done" to begin controlling the device.

Add Device (AP Mode) - Long-term, Stable Connection
This section guides you through the long-term, stable connection process using AP Mode.
- Click "AP Mode" to navigate to the AP page. Press "Next Step" to continue and follow the instructions on your smartphone.
- Select your home router, enter the password, and then press "Next" to continue.

- In your smartphone's WLAN settings, select the AC device named "SmartLife-XXX". After connecting, return to the app interface. The app will automatically perform the matching process, and "PP" followed by "SA" will appear on the air conditioner's display.

Delete Device or Modify Device Name
To manage your devices, return to the "Device list" page. To delete a device, slide its name to the left. This action will also reveal options to edit or modify the device's name.

Air Conditioner Control
- Click on the air conditioner's name to access its control interface.
- Set the desired functions using the controls provided.

- Adjust various operating modes such as Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan, and Feel mode. Click the "Mode" button and select your preferred running mode.
Note: For cooling-only units, the heat mode will not be functional. In Dry mode, the app's temperature display may slightly differ from the unit's display during the first 3 minutes due to rapid temperature changes within the unit.

Ventilation
Click the "Fan" button to choose different fan speeds: Low, Medium, High, or Auto.

Other functions such as Sleep, Turbo, ECO, UP-DOWN (vertical swing), and LEFT-RIGHT (horizontal swing) can be selected by clicking the "Function" button. In Sleep mode, the fan speed will be fixed to a low setting.

Timer
To set timer functions, click the "Timer" button. The app will display the task scheduler. You can long-press to edit an existing schedule or create a new one using the "Add Timer" button.

- Click the "ON" or "OFF" button to set the timer for activation or deactivation. You can configure the hour, minute, operating mode, fan speed, operating temperature, and a weekly timer. After completing your settings, click "Cancel" or "Save".

More Settings
From the top-right corner of the control interface, you can access additional function settings. These include:
- Modify Device Name: Change the name of your air conditioner.
- Device Sharing: Set up sharing permissions for the device.
- Device Info: View information about the device.
- Feedback: Submit feedback or report issues.
- Check for Firmware Update: Check for and install available firmware updates.
- Remove Device: Delete the device from your account.
- Restore Manufacture Defaults: Reset the device to its factory settings.

Profile
This menu allows you to manage your personal information and access various app-related functions:
- Account Information: View and edit your personal account details.
- Scan QR Code: Allows developers to preview the control interface.
- Share Device: Display information about users who have access to your device.
- Message Center: View all messages sent by the system to users.
- Feedback: Write and submit online feedback about the product.
- Info: Displays data about the current app version.

Pattern Unlock
Tap "Pattern unlock" to set up a pattern for unlocking the app. Once enabled, you will need to draw this pattern on the screen every time you want to unlock the app.

Troubleshooting

Air conditioner cannot be configured successfully. | - Verify that the connected WiFi address and password are correct.

- Ensure no firewall or other restrictions are set.
- Check if the router is functioning normally.
- Confirm that the air conditioner, router, and mobile device are within signal range.
- Check if the router is blocking the app.

Mobile phone cannot control air conditioner. | Software Display: Identification failed. This indicates that the air conditioner has been reset, and the mobile phone has lost control permission. To regain permission, you need to re-establish the WiFi connection. Connect to the local network and refresh its status. If the issue persists, delete the air conditioner from the app and wait for it to refresh. |
Mobile phone cannot find air conditioner. | - The air conditioner has been reconfigured.
- The air conditioner is out of power.
- The router is not powered.
- The air conditioner cannot connect to the router.
- The air conditioner cannot connect to the network via the router (in remote control mode).
