Important Safety Information
General Safety Precautions:
- Use this appliance only as described in this user manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.
- This device is intended for household use in living spaces only and must not be used for any other purpose.
- The unit is not suitable for continuous and precise operation and should not be used for cooling electrical systems (e.g., in server rooms).
- Remove packaging and check for damage. If in doubt, do not use the unit and contact a service center or your dealer.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service center to avoid any risk.
- All repairs should be carried out exclusively by authorized service points. Contact customer service online at www.becool.at.
- Before connecting to the mains, check if the type of current and mains voltage match the data on the unit's rating plate.
- The electrical socket used to connect the unit must not be faulty or loose, and must be suitable for the required electrical load and properly grounded. If in doubt, have your electrical installation checked by a qualified electrician.
- Avoid using extension cords as they may overheat and cause a fire.
- It is forbidden to adapt or modify the characteristics of this unit and to use only spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer (non-compliance leads to loss of warranty).
- Children should not use this device for play.
- Do not let children play with the packaging – small parts can be swallowed and pose a choking hazard!
- Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, may use this device only if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and understand the associated hazards.
- Do not operate the unit unsupervised. If you leave the room, switch off the unit.
- Do not twist or bend the power cable.
- Do not use the unit with wet hands.
- Do not use the unit outdoors.
- Never cover the unit when it is switched on.
- Do not operate the unit in rooms where gas, oil, or sulfur may occur.
- Do not use the unit near water or high humidity, e.g., in damp basements, near swimming pools, showers, or baths. Ensure that water does not enter the unit.
- Do not place the unit near heat sources (e.g., near heating systems) and avoid direct sunlight.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm from flammable fabrics (e.g., alcohol) or pressurized containers (e.g., sprays).
- Do not place heavy or unstable items on the unit.
- Place the unit on a stable and level surface.
- Never insert fingers, pens, or other objects into the unit, and ensure that the air inlet and outlet are not blocked.
- Regularly change the water in the tank.
- Fill the water tank up to the MIN mark but never above the MAX mark.
- Do not move the unit quickly if there is water in the tank, as this may cause water to spill or splash.
- Do not use the unit in "COOL" mode in a confined space without ventilation to avoid high humidity.
- The cool packs are not toys – keep them away from children and animals.
- Never attempt to open the cool packs. The liquid inside can be harmful.
- Unplug the unit and empty the water tank if the unit is not in use.
- Always switch off the unit before unplugging it from the socket.
- Do not pull the power cable to unplug the unit from the mains. Always pull the plug to disconnect the power cable.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
- When not in use, store the unit upright in a safe, dry place out of reach of children and do not cover it with plastic packaging.
- Maintain the unit in good working order through maintenance and cleaning. If you have questions about maintenance, contact the manufacturer's customer service hotline/service point.
Recycling and Disposal
Packaging materials can be recycled. Therefore, it is recommended to dispose of them in sorted waste.
The crossed-out garbage can symbol requires separate disposal of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE). Electrical and electronic devices may contain hazardous substances and environmentally hazardous substances. Therefore, do not dispose of it with unsorted waste, but at a designated collection point for old electrical and electronic equipment. In this way, you contribute to the protection of resources and the environment.

Description of the Unit
The air cooler consists of the following parts:
- Control element
- Air outlet
- Water level indicator
- Water tank
- Grilles
- Water outlet
- Cooling packs
Before First Assembly
Unpacking the Unit
- Open the carton and remove the unit.
- Remove all packaging from the unit.
- Carefully wrap the power cable and ensure it is not damaged.
Assembly
- Place the unit on a level and firm surface to ensure it is stable.
- Maintain a distance of at least 50 cm from walls or other objects.
- Ensure that the air inlet and outlet are unobstructed and not blocked.
- Connect the unit to a grounded socket.
Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the rubber plug is firmly in the water opening at the back of the unit and closes it so that the water tank cannot leak unintentionally.
- Fill the water tank to the top of the unit. Open the cover of the upper part of the unit and pour in clean water, checking the level on the front of the water tank:
- MIN mark: The water tank must be filled above the MIN mark for the pump to work correctly.
- MAX mark: The water tank must not be filled above the MAX mark, otherwise water may enter the unit and damage electronic components.
- Ensure that the air cooler is dry on the outside and wipe it if necessary.
- Close the cover again.
Operation
Controls
- ON/OFF: Switches the unit on and off.
- LOW: Low fan speed.
- MEDIUM: Medium fan speed.
- HIGH: High fan speed.
- SWING: Use the SWING button to activate the oscillation of the unit. The function can be deactivated by pressing the SWING button again.
- COOL: Use the COOL button to activate the cooling function. Ensure the water level indicator is above MIN. As soon as you press the button, the unit draws water through the water filter to generate cool, moist air, which is then blown out by the unit.
Cooling Battery
The scope of delivery includes two cool packs. You can place these in the water tank to achieve an additional cooling effect.
Please observe the following when using the cool packs:
- Fill the connected cool pack with water up to the MAX mark.
- Place the cool packs in the freezer for at least 3-4 hours before use.
- Fill the air cooler with water.
- The MAX mark must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
- Place the cool packs in the compartment at the top of the unit.
Tips for Correct Use
Here are some tips to achieve optimal performance from your air cooler:
- Protect the room from direct sunlight with curtains, blinds, or shutters. This saves energy.
- Do not place the unit where the air outlet is blocked.
- Ensure the air outlet and air inlet grilles are unobstructed.
- Ensure that no heat sources are operating in the room.
- Never use the unit in very humid rooms (e.g., laundry rooms).
- Do not use the unit outdoors.
- Ensure the unit is placed on a level floor and the parking brake is engaged.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Protective Grille
To ensure efficient operation of the air cooler, the protective grille should be cleaned weekly:
- Switch off the unit before cleaning, wait a few minutes, then unplug the power cable to disconnect the unit from the power supply.
- Remove the 2 fastening screws on the grille with a screwdriver and remove the grille from the unit.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove accumulated dust from the protective grille.
- If the protective grille is very dirty, immerse it in hot water and rinse it several times – the water temperature should not exceed 40°C.
- Allow the protective grille to dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
- Reattach the protective grille and secure it with the screws.
Note: Never use the unit without the protective grille.
Cleaning the Housing
Switch off the unit before cleaning, wait a few minutes, and then disconnect the power cable to disconnect the unit from the power supply.
- Clean the unit with a moderately damp cloth and then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.
- Never use gasoline, alcohol, or solvent spray, or insecticides or similar agents to clean the air cooler.
Emptying the Water Tank
It is recommended to empty and clean the water tank every 2-3 weeks of use.
To do this, follow the steps below:
- Unplug the unit from the socket. Place a container under the water outlet on the back of the unit.
- Remove the cover and allow the water to drain into the collection container. You can tilt the air cooler slightly – but no more than 30°.
- Once the tank is completely empty, replace the cover and ensure it is securely in place.
- Plug in the unit and switch it on again.
End of Season Activities
End of Season
- Switch off the unit and unplug the power cord.
- Carefully drain and clean the water tank.
- Clean the protective grille and reinsert it after drying (see section "Cleaning the Protective Grille").
- Pack the unit and store it in a cool, dry place.
Start of Season Checks
- Check that the power cable is in order and that the grounding is functional.
- Follow the assembly and safety instructions precisely.

Warranty
This high-quality BE COOL product represents innovation, durability, and reliability. BE COOL provides a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase for this unit, valid in Austria.
Should service be required during this period, BE COOL guarantees free repair (spare parts and labor) or replacement of the product (at the discretion of Schuss Home Electronic). If repair or replacement is not economically feasible, BE COOL reserves the right to issue a credit for the depreciated value.
For air conditioners, please contact the customer service hotline as the first step (refer to the label on the unit or the cover page of the user manual). For fans, contact your specialized dealer or contact us directly. Please note that repairs not carried out by an authorized contractual service partner in Austria will immediately void this warranty.
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from improper use.
- Repairs or replacements of parts due to normal wear and tear.
- Damage caused by neglecting the operating manual.
- Commercial use, even partial.
- Units that have been mechanically damaged, treated improperly, or exposed to external influences (e.g., drops, impacts, incorrect use) or signs of wear and tear.
- Units that have been opened by our authorized service workshop.
- Failure to meet consumer expectations.
- Damage caused by force majeure, lightning, or overload.
- Units where the type plate and/or serial number have been altered, erased, made illegible, or removed.
- Services performed outside our authorized workshops, transport costs to or from an authorized workshop, and associated risks.
- We emphasize that for operational errors or if no error is found within the warranty period, a flat fee of €60 (indexed based on CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged.
- Providing warranty service (repair or replacement of the unit) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
The 2-year warranty is only valid upon presentation of proof of purchase (including dealer's name and address, complete unit designation, and warranty card with unit type and serial number). If the warranty card is not presented, only the statutory warranty applies!
We expressly point out that this warranty does not affect your statutory warranty rights, which remain in full effect.
Liability for damages by Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its agents is limited to cases of gross negligence or intent. In all cases, liability for lost profits, unrealized savings, consequential damages, and damages from third-party claims is excluded. Damage or loss of recorded data is always excluded from liability for damages.
