Replacement Procedures
Glass Shelf Change
First, gently lift the front side of the glass shelf up. Then, you can pull the glass out by directly pulling towards yourself.
[Diagram: Lifting the front of a glass shelf upwards, then pulling it directly towards oneself to remove it.]
Foldable Glass Shelf Change
First, push the glass in front to all the way back. Then, gently lift both glasses up together. Now you can pull the glasses out by directly pulling towards yourself.
[Diagrams: Pushing the front of the glass shelf towards the back of the unit, then lifting both glasses upwards together, and finally pulling them out.]
Flap Cover Change
First, open the flap slightly. Now, push the flap up from its bottom edge, focusing on only one side. When the flap is freed from this side, repeat the same operation for the other side.
[Diagrams: Opening a flap slightly, then pushing the flap upwards from its bottom edge on one side until it is freed. The same operation is then repeated for the other side.]
Door Shelf Change
Gently pull the shelf up using both hands, without bending or twisting the shelf. When the shelf is free from assembly on the right and left side, you can take the shelf out by pulling towards yourself.
[Diagrams: Pulling a door shelf upwards with both hands, without bending or twisting it. Once the shelf is free from its assembly on both the right and left sides, it can be pulled out.]
Adjustable Door Shelf Change
First, grip the door shelf by both hands. At the same time, using your thumbs, pull the latches on the sides towards yourself. This will unlock the mechanism, so you can lift the shelf all the way up and free the shelf from its guides on the door.
[Diagrams: Gripping the door shelf with both hands, using thumbs to pull side latches, and lifting the shelf.]
Basket, Chiller, Crisper Change
First, pull the basket out until it reaches its end position. Then, gently pull the front side up until it is freed from its guides on the sides. Finally, continue pulling it out and remove it from place.
[Diagrams: Pulling a basket to its end position, lifting the front, and then pulling it out.]
Maxifresh Change
[Diagrams: Showing a Maxifresh drawer being removed. One diagram shows a hand pulling the drawer out. The other shows the drawer removed.]
Door Gasket Change
Pull the gasket towards starting from the top right corner. Slowly pull the rest of the gasket. Completely remove the gasket from the door.
Check the replacement gasket from starting with the upper right corner, press on the gasket until it fits to its place. Place the other sides of the gasket with the help of your thumb.
After the replacement, check if there is any non-fitting point on the gasket. Also, check if there is any opening at the gasket while the door is closed. If so, that might cause condensation/icing or insufficient cooling/freezing. To prevent this, soften the form of the gasket with the help of a hair dryer or hot water and make sure that all points are closing perfectly.
[Diagrams: Pulling the door gasket from the top right corner, then the rest of the gasket. Another diagram shows checking the replacement gasket, starting from the upper right corner, and pressing it into place with a thumb. It also shows placing the other sides of the gasket. A final note advises checking for non-fitting points or openings after replacement, and suggests using a hair dryer or hot water to soften the gasket if needed for a perfect seal.]
