1. What's in the box
This section illustrates the items included in the JBL XTREME package. It contains one JBL XTREME speaker unit and one charging cable with a power adapter.

2. Buttons

Button Layout (from left to right):
- [Power Button]: Turns the speaker on/off.
- [Bluetooth Button]: Initiates Bluetooth pairing.
- [Volume Down Button]: Decreases the volume.
- [Volume Up Button]: Increases the volume.
- [Play/Pause Button]: Controls music playback (play/pause).
- [Next Track Button]: Skips to the next track.
- [JBL Connect Button]: Used for linking multiple speakers (see Section 6).
3. Connections

4. Bluetooth®
This section details the Bluetooth pairing process and music control.
1. Bluetooth Connection
To connect your device (e.g., smartphone) via Bluetooth:
- Press the [Bluetooth Button] on the JBL XTREME.
- On your device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "JBL Xtreme".
- Once paired, the speaker will indicate a successful connection.
2. Music Control
Use the speaker's buttons to control music playback:
- [Play/Pause Button]: Press once to play or pause music.
- [Next Track Button]: Press once to skip to the next track. Press twice to go to the previous track.
5. Speakerphone
The JBL XTREME features a speakerphone function with Voice Logic technology for clear calls.
When connected via Bluetooth, you can use the speaker to make and receive calls. The diagram shows a smartphone icon connecting to the speaker, indicating this capability.
6. JBL Connect
Wirelessly links multiple JBL Connect compatible speakers together. Press the [JBL Connect Button] on all desired speakers to begin pairing. All connected speakers will play the same music from the same device.
7. LED Behavior
The LED indicator on the JBL XTREME provides status information:

8. Warning
Splashproof Information:
The JBL XTREME is splashproof. However, submerging it in water or other liquids may result in permanent damage to the speaker.
IMPORTANT: To ensure the speaker remains splashproof, always remove all cable connections and tightly close the zipper. Exposing the JBL XTREME to liquids without doing so may result in permanent damage. Do not expose the JBL XTREME to dripping or splashing while charging.
Splashproof is defined as water splashing against the enclosure from any direction having no harmful effect to the unit.
