7. Safety and Maintenance
Safety Guidelines
- For maximum safety, follow these guidelines.
- If you experience issues not resolved by troubleshooting, disconnect the device from power and contact the Razer Hotline or visit support.razer.com.
- Do not disassemble the device, as this voids the warranty. Do not use with non-standard voltage.
- Keep the device away from liquids, humidity, and moisture. Operate within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C. If the temperature exceeds this range, disconnect the device from power or turn it off until it returns to a suitable temperature.
- Do not look directly into the mouse's tracking beam or point it at others. The tracking beam is invisible to the naked eye and always active.
Ergonomics
Prolonged repetitive movements, incorrect posture, and poor habits can lead to physical discomfort and injuries. Follow these guidelines for optimal comfort and to prevent injuries:
- Position your keyboard and monitor directly in front of you, with the mouse beside them. Keep your elbows close to your body and ensure the keyboard is easily reachable.
- Adjust your chair and desk height so your keyboard and mouse are at or below elbow height.
- Sit upright with your feet flat on the floor and relax your shoulders.
- Keep your wrist straight and relaxed while gaming. Avoid prolonged bending, stretching, or twisting of your hands during repetitive actions.
- Avoid resting your wrists on hard surfaces for extended periods. Use a wrist rest for support while playing.
- Adjust keyboard keys to your playstyle to minimize repetitive or awkward movements.
- Avoid sitting in the same position all day. Stand up, move away from your desk, and perform stretching exercises for your arms, shoulders, neck, and legs.
- If you experience pain, numbness, or tingling in your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, or back, consult a doctor immediately.
Maintenance and Usage
The Razer Cobra Hyperspeed requires minimal maintenance. To keep it in optimal condition, we recommend removing it from your computer monthly and cleaning it with a soft cloth or cotton swab to prevent dust buildup. Do not use soap or harsh cleaning agents.
For optimal freedom of movement and control, use a premium Razer mousepad. Some surfaces may cause excessive wear on the mouse feet, requiring adjustment or replacement.
The sensor is optimized for Razer mousepads, ensuring best performance.
