Performance
The "Performance" tab allows you to adjust your Razer mouse's sensitivity, polling rate, and wireless power saving settings.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity refers to the distance the cursor travels relative to the distance the mouse moves. Higher DPI means the cursor travels further for the same mouse movement.
Sensitivity Levels
Sensitivity levels are preset sensitivity values. You can create up to 5 different sensitivity levels and cycle through them using the DPI cycle button or the increase/decrease DPI level buttons. Hovering over a sensitivity level allows you to switch between levels or enable the "Adjust X-Y Axis" function for each level.
Polling Rate
Select your desired polling rate to switch between options. A higher polling rate means the computer receives mouse status information more frequently, reducing input lag and improving mouse pointer responsiveness.
Sensitivity Matching
Adjust mouse settings to match the feel of another mouse. This feature requires connecting a second mouse.
Mouse Properties
Access Windows mouse properties to modify operating system settings that directly affect your Razer mouse.
Battery
The "Battery" tab allows you to set the device to turn off after a period of inactivity to manage power consumption. You can also adjust the battery percentage at which the mouse enters low power mode to extend battery life.
Wireless Power Saving
Configure settings for entering sleep mode after a period of inactivity and low power mode based on battery level.
Calibration
The "Calibration" tab allows you to optimize the Razer Precision sensor for any surface, enhancing mouse tracking performance.
- Surface Calibration: Fine-tune tracking distance and enable "Asymmetric Cut-off" for lift-off and landing distance adjustments.
- Smart Tracking: Set a lift-off point to stop tracking when the sensor is raised from the surface, preventing unnecessary cursor movement.
- Asymmetric Cut-off: Allows setting different values for lift-off and landing distances.
- Tracking Distance: Adjust the vertical height at which the sensor stops tracking when the mouse is lifted.
Advanced
The "Advanced" tab allows you to adjust your Razer mouse's acceleration and sensor rotation.
- Dynamic Sensitivity: Allows DPI to automatically adjust based on mouse movement speed for precise aiming during small movements and quick turns during large movements. Options include Classic, Natural, Jump, and Custom.
- Rotation Angle: Virtually tilts the sensor to compensate for natural grip angles. Use the mouse rotation angle calibration tool to find the best angle for your grip.
7. Safety and Maintenance
Safety Guidelines
To ensure maximum safety while using the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro, follow these guidelines:
- If the device malfunctions and you cannot resolve the issue, unplug the device and contact Razer support or visit support.razer.com/cn for technical assistance.
- Do not disassemble the device (this will void the warranty) and do not use it under abnormal electrical load conditions.
- Keep the device away from liquids and humid environments. Use the device only in environments between 0°C and 40°C. If the temperature exceeds this range, unplug and/or turn off the device to stabilize the temperature.
- Avoid looking directly into the mouse's tracking beam or shining it into anyone's eyes. Note that the tracking beam is invisible to the naked eye and is set to "always on" mode.
Comfort
Prolonged repetitive motions, improper workstation setup, poor posture, and bad habits can affect physical health and cause nerve, tendon, and muscle injuries. Follow these guidelines to avoid such injuries and ensure comfortable use of your Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro:
- Position your keyboard and monitor directly in front of you, with the mouse next to the keyboard. Keep your elbows at your sides, not too far out, and place the keyboard within easy reach.
- Adjust your chair and desk height so that the keyboard and mouse are not higher than your elbows.
- Ensure your feet are well-supported and your back is straight and shoulders relaxed.
- During gaming, relax your wrists and keep them straight. If your hands perform repetitive motions, try not to bend, extend, or twist your hands for extended periods.
- Do not rest your wrists on hard surfaces for long periods. Use a wrist rest to support your wrists while gaming.
- Customize your keyboard keys based on your playstyle to minimize repetitive or uncomfortable actions during gaming.
- Avoid sitting in the same posture all day. Get up frequently from your desk to move around, stretch your arms, and move your shoulders, neck, and legs.
If you experience pain, numbness, or tingling in your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, or back while using the mouse, consult a qualified physician immediately.
Maintenance and Use
The Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro requires minimal maintenance to perform at its best. It is recommended to unplug the device from your computer monthly and clean it with a soft cloth or cotton swab to prevent dirt buildup. Do not use soap or corrosive cleaning agents.
For the ultimate mouse control experience, Razer strongly recommends purchasing Razer mousepads. Some surfaces can cause excessive wear on the mouse feet, so be mindful and replace the feet if necessary.
Note that the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro's sensor has been "tuned" or optimized for Razer mousepads. This means the sensor has undergone extensive testing to ensure optimal reading and tracking performance on Razer mousepads.
