7. Safety and Maintenance
Safety Guidelines
- If the device malfunctions, unplug it and contact Razer support or visit support.razer.com/cn for technical assistance.
- Do not disassemble the device (this will void the warranty). Do not use the device under abnormal electrical load conditions.
- Keep the device away from liquids and humid environments. Use only in environments between 0°C (32°F) and 40°C (104°F). If the temperature exceeds this range, unplug or turn off the device to stabilize the temperature.
- Avoid looking directly into the mouse's tracking beam or shining it into anyone's eyes. The tracking beam is invisible to the naked eye and is always on.
Comfort
Prolonged repetitive motions, improper setup, poor posture, and bad habits can lead to health issues and injuries. Follow these guidelines for a comfortable experience:
- Position your keyboard and display directly in front of you, with your mouse next to the keyboard. Keep your elbows at your sides, not too far out, and ensure your keyboard is within easy reach.
- Adjust your seating and desk height so that the keyboard and mouse are not higher than your elbows.
- Ensure your feet are well-supported and your back is straight with relaxed shoulders.
- During gaming, relax your wrists and keep them straight. Avoid repetitive bending, stretching, or twisting of your hands.
- Do not rest your wrists on hard surfaces for extended periods. Use a wrist rest to support your wrists while gaming.
- Customize your keybinds based on your gaming style to minimize repetitive or uncomfortable actions.
- Avoid sitting in the same posture all day. Get up frequently to stretch your arms, shoulders, neck, and legs.
If you experience pain, numbness, or tingling in your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, or back while using the mouse, consult a qualified physician immediately.
Maintenance and Usage
The Razer Cobra HyperSpeed requires minimal maintenance to perform optimally. It is recommended to unplug the device from your computer monthly and clean it with a soft cloth or cotton swab to prevent dirt buildup. Do not use soap or corrosive cleaning agents.
For the best mouse control experience, Razer strongly recommends purchasing Razer mousepads. Some surfaces can cause excessive wear on the mouse feet, requiring replacement. Note that the Razer Cobra HyperSpeed sensor is "tuned" or optimized for Razer mousepads, ensuring optimal tracking performance.
