Limited WMF Warranty for Germany and Austria for Small and Medium Offices
Warranty Overview
WMF provides a limited manufacturer's warranty for the WMF Perfection Office product when purchased in the Federal Republic of Germany and Austria. This warranty covers material or manufacturing defects for a period of one (1) year, up to a maximum of 8000 usage cycles within that year, commencing from the original purchase or delivery date.
This warranty is specifically for products used in small and medium-sized offices, defined by a coffee consumption of a maximum of 40 cups per working day for 200 working days per year. It serves as an additional benefit and does not affect statutory consumer rights.
The warranty includes the repair or replacement of the product to restore its contractually guaranteed properties. WMF reserves the right to provide a replacement device of equal or higher value if repair is not feasible. WMF's sole obligation and the customer's exclusive right under this warranty are limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
This limited WMF warranty is applicable only within the defined warranty period, for products purchased in Germany or Austria, and only within the German federal territory. A proof of purchase is required for any repair or replacement.
The defective product can be submitted in person to an authorized WMF service center or returned via registered mail (or equivalent) after appropriate packaging. Contact details for the service center are available in the product's operating instructions.
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from:
- Misuse, negligence, or failure to follow WMF operating instructions.
- Use of incorrect voltage or frequency.
- Modifications or repairs by third parties without WMF's express permission.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Lack of maintenance or use of non-approved spare parts.
- Improper use or care.
Specific excluded cases include:
- Use of unsuitable liquids or consumables.
- Damage caused by lightning or overvoltage.
- Calcification (if not performed according to operating instructions).
- Damage or unsatisfactory results due to incorrect voltage or frequency.
- Ingress of water, dust, or insects (unless the device has specific insect-protection features).
- Mechanical damage or excessive strain.
- Accidents such as fire, floods, or lightning strikes.
- Breakage of glass or porcelain components.
- Improper or inadequate packaging or handling by the transport service provider.
Legal Rights of the Consumer
This limited WMF warranty for Germany and Austria does not affect the statutory legal rights to which a consumer is entitled under German and Austrian law.
