Key Components of the WMF 5000S+

10L Side Fridge

The WMF 5000S+ can be paired with a 10L side fridge for milk storage.

Cleaning Information

Regular cleaning is essential for maintaining the performance and hygiene of the WMF 5000S+.

Cleaning Tablets

End of Day System Clean (Approx. 15 Minutes)

  1. Access the home menu and select 'Care' option.
  2. Select 'Cleaning programs', then 'System cleaning'.
  3. Confirm if the machine needs to shut down after cleaning.
  4. If no beverages are to be made after cleaning, select 'NO'. If operation is required, select 'YES'.
  5. Wipe the spout and drip tray with a clean & damp cloth.
  6. Empty and clean the coffee grounds container.
  7. Insert one RINZA tablet into each blue container (for milk system). Do not add water.
  8. Plug the milk line into the blue WMF cleaning container. Place the cleaning box on the drip tray during the cleaning process.
  9. Insert a CAFIZA tablet into the top chute for brewer cleaning.
  10. The system will progress with cleaning (up to 14 minutes).
  11. Unplug the milk line from the blue container and plug it back into the milk container. Ensure warm water is inside the blue container.
  12. If you selected 'No' at Step 4, complete the Milk Activation steps (Steps 14-15). Otherwise, the machine will restart, perform a milk line purge, and be ready for service.

Easy Milk System Exchange & Clean (Approx. 15 Minutes)

  1. Perform this at the end of the week.
  2. Disconnect the milk line from the foamer.
  3. Remove the combi spout & milk hose.
  4. Separate the foamer into pieces for soaking.
  5. Re-mount the spare clean foamer, choc hose & milk line.
  6. Fill a container with warm water and add one RINZA tablet. Soak the dirty foamer & milk line for 5 hours.
  7. After soaking, rinse all pieces under tap and dry.
  8. Store in a tub with a lid to avoid contamination.

Auto Steam Wand Cleaning - Daily

  1. Clean the machine with a clean damp cloth.
  2. Add one RINZA tablet in a milk jug with 500ml of lukewarm water.
  3. Completely immerse the nozzle in the cleaning solution.
  4. For the auto steam wand, briefly press the auto-steam button.
  5. Soak time: 30 minutes.
  6. Clean with a brush.
  7. Rinse thoroughly with water.
  8. Briefly press the auto-steam button.
  9. The steam clears the holes of the steam nozzle of milk residue and removes cleaner residue.
  10. Wipe the steam outlet with a damp cloth.

Auto Steam Wand Cleaning + Dismantle - Weekly

  1. Clean the machine with a clean damp cloth.
  2. Unscrew the steam nozzle.
  3. Immerse the steam nozzle in the cleaning solution for at least 5 hours.
  4. Clean with a brush.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  6. Screw the steam nozzle onto the Auto Steam outlet.
  7. Immerse the steam nozzle in a jug with clear water.
  8. Briefly touch an Auto Steam button.
  9. Wipe the steam outlet with a damp cloth.

Refill Coffee Hoppers

Chocolate Whipper/Mixer Cleaning (Approx. 10 Minutes)

  1. Perform this at the end of the week.
  2. Open the display panel.
  3. Remove the choc hose from the back of the foamer and slide the spring off.
  4. Remove the chocolate mixing bowl.
  5. Separate the top of the bowl and remove the hose.
  6. Disassemble all parts.
  7. Wash the unit in water & dry thoroughly.
  8. Insert the mixer back into the machine and reattach the choc hose & slide the spring on.
  9. Close the display panel.
  10. Note: Please ensure the wiper disc is inserted the correct way.

Hopper Cleaning (Approx. 15 Minutes)

Empty Grounds

Milk Pump Calibration

This process is used if there is a temperature or level shift on all beverages.
