What's in the Box

The box typically contains one parent unit, one or two baby units (depending on the model VM5267 or VM5267-2), power adapters for both units, and this quick start guide.

Setup Guide

1. Connect the Baby Monitor

Connect the baby unit to a power supply to turn it on. Disconnect the baby unit to turn it off.

Connect the parent unit to a power supply. The parent unit turns on automatically after connecting the power adapter to the power socket, and the battery LED light illuminates.

Notes:

  • The rechargeable battery in the parent unit is built-in.
  • Use only the power adapters supplied with this product.
  • Ensure the parent unit and baby unit are not connected to an electronically controlled electric power outlet.
  • Connect power adapters in a vertical or floor mount position only. Do not connect them to ceiling, under-the-table, or cabinet outlets, as the adapters' prongs are not designed to hold the weight of the monitor.
  • Keep the parent unit, baby units, and power adapter cords out of reach of children.

2. Charge the Parent Unit Battery

When you have connected and turned the parent unit on, the battery charges automatically.

Notes:

  • Before first use, charge the parent unit battery for 12 hours. The battery icon segments will be solid when fully charged.
  • Charging time is longer when the parent unit is turned on. Turn the parent unit off while charging to shorten the time.
  • Standby time varies based on sensitivity level, usage, and battery age.

Battery Indicators:

  • Battery status: The screen displays [battery-low-flashing] and the light flashes. Action: Charge without interruption (about 30 minutes).
  • Battery status: The battery icon segments are solid [battery-full-solid]. Action: The battery is fully charged. To keep it charged, connect the unit to AC power when in use.

3. Positioning the Baby Monitor

Caution: Keep the baby unit out of the reach of your baby. Never place or mount the baby unit inside the baby's crib or playpen.

Notes:

  • To avoid interference from other electronic devices, place your baby monitor at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from devices such as wireless routers, microwaves, mobile phones, and computers.
  • If you experience feedback noise from your baby monitor while positioning, ensure your baby unit and parent unit are more than 3 feet (1 meter) apart, or turn down the volume of your parent unit.

⚠️ Strangulation Hazard: Keep this cord out of the reach of children (more than 3 ft / 0.9m away). Do not remove the warning label on the adapter cord.

Alert Icons

These icons signal important events:

  • Temperature alert (low): [alert-temp-low-icon]

Sound Sensitivity and Sound Activation

Adjust the sound sensitivity of the baby unit to control when the parent unit screen turns on. The parent unit screen activates only when detected sounds exceed a set level.

Use the parent unit to adjust the microphone sensitivity. Higher levels mean the baby unit is more sensitive to sounds.

Sound Sensitivity Levels:

When AUTO is selected, the parent unit screen stays off to save power when the baby unit detects sounds lower than the set sensitivity level. The screen turns on automatically when sounds exceed the set level and turns off again after 50 seconds if the sound level drops.

Dim Mode

Dim mode helps save parent unit power. The display automatically dims after 10 minutes of inactivity, when no keys are pressed, or no alerts are received from the baby unit.

[10 minutes inactive] [press-any-button]

Night Vision

The baby unit has infrared LEDs that allow clear viewing in dark rooms. When low light levels are detected, the infrared LEDs switch on automatically. Images appear in black and white on the parent unit screen.

Notes:

Tip: Image quality may vary depending on surroundings and interfering factors like lighting or objects. Adjust the baby unit's angle or place it higher to prevent glare and blurred display.

Monitoring Modes (For VM5267-2 only)

These modes allow different ways to view multiple baby units:

To switch between baby unit images in these modes, press the appropriate menu option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mounting the Baby Unit (Optional)

You can mount the baby unit on a wall for optimal positioning.

You will need to purchase separately: 2 screws, 2 anchors.

  1. Use a pencil to mark two holes in parallel on the wall, ensuring they are the same distance apart as the wall mount holes on the baby unit.
  2. Drill two holes in the wall (use a 5.5 mm drill bit). If drilling into a stud, proceed to step 3. If drilling into other wall material, insert anchors into the holes and tap gently with a hammer until flush with the wall.
  3. Insert screws into the holes and tighten until only 6.5 mm of the screws are exposed.
  4. Align the wall mount holes on the baby unit with the screws on the wall. Slide the baby unit down until it locks into place.

Notes: The types of screws and anchors needed depend on the wall composition. Check reception strength and camera angle before drilling.

Cable Management

Ensure all power adapter cords are managed safely and kept out of reach of children.
