Introduction
.AV Framework™ software by Crestron Electronics, Inc. is a web-based management solution enabling the deployment of scalable enterprise room solutions without programming. The configuration utility, accessible via web browsers, facilitates source and display selection, device control configuration (e.g., Blu-ray Disc® players, cable TV boxes), integration of touch screens and button panels, and connection with Crestron Fusion® software for monitoring and control. It also allows for customization with corporate logos and additional components. The software is compatible with the MPC3 series of 3-Series® media presentation controllers and supports various A/V switcher devices, including DM NVX® encoders/decoders and virtual switchers.
This guide outlines the setup process for the .AV Framework program on MPC3 devices and provides an overview of the configuration utility's screens and functions. For detailed information on specific MPC3 models, refer to their respective Quick Start guides available on the Crestron website.

Product Features
The .AV Framework for MPC3 series supports a wide range of Crestron devices, including AirMedia® Presentation Gateways (AM-100, AM-101, AM-200, AM-300, AM-3100-WF, AM-3200/-WF), Button Panels (MP-B10, MP-B20), Cable Caddy (TT-100), and various external switchers like DM NVX® models and HD-MD series. It also supports occupancy sensors (GLS-ODT-C-CN, CEN-ODT-C-POE, GLS-OIR-C-CN), touch screens (TSW series, TS/TSW-770, TS/TSW-1070), and Desktop XPanel. Compatibility extends to control modules, room signs, and drivers for displays, cable boxes, and Blu-ray Disc® players. The software allows for customization of logos, screensavers, and start button text, and supports multiple login authentication and room power modes. Zoom Rooms™ Software Controller configuration is also supported.
Setup
To set up the .AV Framework program on an MPC3 device, first download the program files (.cpz and .vtz) from the Crestron Resource Library. These files must be used as a version-matched pair. Use Crestron Toolbox™ software to discover the MPC3 device on the network and load the .cpz file into an available program slot. The .vtz file can be loaded onto a compatible touch screen or Desktop XPanel for user interface control. Refer to the respective product documentation for detailed loading instructions.
Accessing the configuration utility requires a supported web browser and the IP address or hostname of the MPC3 device. Log in using the device's admin credentials. Note that as of version 6.12, port 8008 is disabled, and user management is handled through the MPC3 device itself. Firmware must be updated to a minimum version supporting forced authentication before accessing the utility.
Adding an A/V Switcher
Before adding other devices, a compatible A/V switcher must be added to the .AV Framework system. Supported types include Crestron switcher devices, DM NVX® encoders/decoders, and virtual switchers. Only one A/V switcher can be added per MPC3 device. The configuration utility, accessible via the MPC3 device's IP address or hostname, allows for the addition of these switchers.
