Button/Coin Battery Warnings

- Immediately dispose of used batteries and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash.
- Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
- Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries (e.g., alkaline, carbon-zinc, rechargeable).
- Ensure batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove and immediately discard batteries from equipment not used for an extended period.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 158°F (70°C), or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage, or explosion.

Instructions
- Install battery: Remove screw(s), open battery compartment, install LR44 battery with correct polarity, close compartment, and replace screw(s).
- Turn on caliper: Push the OFF/ON button.
- Toggle units: Press the in/mm button to switch between inches and millimeters.
- Zero the display: With jaws closed, press ZERO.
- Measure outside of object: Set the bottom prongs outside the object. Slide jaws together until they gently contact the item.
- Measure inside of object: Set the top prongs inside the object. Spread prongs apart until they touch the surface.
- Turn off caliper: Press the OFF/ON button. The caliper also has an automatic OFF function.

Maintenance and Servicing
Procedures not explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Keep body clean. Prevent liquid from entering the slider.
- Clean the face with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. Note: Do not use acetone or alcohol.
- Lubricate the body with a few drops of clock oil.
- Keep the battery compartment clean and free of corrosion.
Battery Removal and Replacement
- Remove screw(s) and open battery compartment.
- Remove battery and dispose of properly.
- Insert new LR44 battery with correct polarity, close compartment, and replace screw(s).
Note: Keep batteries out of reach of children. Keep batteries in original packaging until use. Discard used batteries immediately. Do not allow children to play with devices containing batteries.
Troubleshooting

Follow all safety precautions whenever diagnosing or servicing the tool. Remove battery before service.

Limited 90 Day Warranty
Harbor Freight Tools Co. warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase for the original purchaser. This warranty does not apply to damage from misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, unauthorized repairs or alterations, criminal activity, improper installation, normal wear and tear, or lack of maintenance. Harbor Freight Tools shall not be liable for death, injuries, or incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from product use. Some states may not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
To claim warranty service, return the product with transportation charges prepaid, along with proof of purchase date and a description of the complaint. If the defect is verified, Harbor Freight Tools will repair or replace the product, or refund the purchase price if replacement is not readily available. Repaired products will be returned at Harbor Freight's expense. If no defect is found, or the defect is outside the warranty scope, the return shipping cost will be borne by the customer.
This warranty grants specific legal rights, and other rights may vary by state.
