Button/Coin Battery Warnings

- Immediately dispose of used batteries and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash.
- Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
- Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
- Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove and immediately discard batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 158°F or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage, or explosion resulting in chemical burns.

Components and Controls
The digital micrometer features the following components:
- Anvil: The stationary jaw against which the spindle is brought to measure.
- Spindle: The movable jaw that contacts the object being measured.
- Thimble: Rotates to move the spindle and make contact with the object.
- Ratchet Stop: Located on the thimble, it clicks to ensure consistent measuring pressure.
- Thimble Lock: Secures the spindle position after measurement.
- Display: Shows the measurement in inches or millimeters.
- ON/OFF/SET Button: Powers the device on/off and resets the display to zero.
- Inch/mm Button: Switches between inch and millimeter measurement modes.
The device typically displays measurements like "0.1042" and has markings such as "0-25mm 0.001mm" on its body.
Operating Instructions
[warning] Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
- Install battery by removing screw(s) and opening battery compartment. Install CR2032 battery in correct polarity, close compartment and replace screw(s).
- Use a clean, lint-free cloth to clean the Anvil of the Micrometer and the object being measured.
- Turn on the device. Choose inch or mm mode. To switch between inches and millimeters, hold the ABS-in/mm button for five seconds.
- Note: When the ABS-in/mm button is pressed, the display automatically resets to zero and takes measurements from whatever the previous position was.
- Rotating the Thimble counterclockwise, open the Anvil until it is wider than the object to be measured.
- Place the Anvil around the object and turn the Thimble clockwise until the Anvil just touches the object.
- Turn the Ratchet Stop clockwise to close the Anvil on the object being measured until it clicks. To avoid damage to either the Micrometer or the workpiece, only use the Ratchet Stop to close the Anvil of the Micrometer on the object.
- Turn the Thimble Lock clockwise to lock the measurement and carefully withdraw the Micrometer from the object.
- This Micrometer measures items in hundred thousandths of an Inch. View the Display to see the results.
- To reset to zero, hold the ON/OFF/SET button for five seconds.
- Note: This is a delicate instrument. The Micrometer should be handled carefully. Dropping this product could damage it and may affect accuracy.
- To prevent accidents, turn off the tool after use. Clean, then store the tool indoors out of children's reach.

This warranty does not apply to damage due directly or indirectly, to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents, repairs or alterations outside our facilities, criminal activity, improper installation, normal wear and tear, or to lack of maintenance. Harbor Freight Tools shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons or property, or for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the use of its product.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to Harbor Freight Tools with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If Harbor Freight Tools' inspection verifies the defect, they will either repair or replace the product at their election or may elect to refund the purchase price if they cannot readily and quickly provide a replacement. Repaired products will be returned at Harbor Freight Tools' expense, but if it is determined there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of the warranty, then the customer must bear the cost of returning the product.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
