Step 1: Mounting / Fitting
This section describes how to install the light fixture as a ceiling light.
Procedure:
- Prepare Wiring: Connect the electrical wires to the terminal block. Ensure wires are inserted correctly into the screw terminals and securely tightened. The terminal block has designated connection points for live (L), neutral (N), and potentially ground wires.
- Prepare Ceiling Mount: Drill holes in the ceiling, approximately Ø8mm, for the mounting hardware.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the provided mounting plate to the ceiling using the supplied screws and wall plugs.
- Suspend Light Fixture: Attach the three suspension wires of the light fixture to the mounting plate. Ensure all connections are secure.
Note: Ensure correct handling of wires and connections as indicated by the diagrams to avoid damage or incorrect installation.
Step 2: Electrical Connection
Connect the light fixture to a 230 Volt / 50Hz power supply.
Procedure:
- Identify Wires: Identify the live (L) and neutral (N) wires from your mains supply.
- Connect to Terminal Block: Open the screw terminals on the light fixture's internal connector. Insert the neutral wire into the terminal marked 'N' and the live wire into the terminal marked 'L'.
- Secure Connections: Tighten the screws on the terminal block firmly to ensure a secure electrical connection.
- Finalize Mounting: Ensure the ceiling plate is securely attached to the ceiling, and the light fixture's wiring is properly connected and enclosed.
Refer to diagrams for precise wire insertion and terminal identification.
Step 3: Remote Control Setup
This section explains how to pair the included radio remote control with the light fixture. For detailed instructions, please refer to the separate Q-remote control manual.
Pairing Procedure:
- Activate Pairing Mode: Switch the lamp on and off rapidly a specific number of times (typically 5 times, as shown in the reset section, but pairing might have its own sequence). The light should indicate it's ready for pairing.
- Teach Remote Control: Point the remote control towards the Q-receiver (antenna) located on the fixture. Press and hold the designated pairing button on the remote control until the light confirms successful pairing (e.g., by flashing).
The Q-receiver is integrated into the top part of the light fixture.
