JBL Xtreme Quick Start Guide

1. What's in the box

Your JBL Xtreme package includes:

• JBL Xtreme Speaker (x1)

2. Buttons

Familiarize yourself with the controls on your JBL Xtreme:

• Power Button: Turns the speaker on/off.
• Bluetooth Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing.
• Volume Down Button: Decreases volume.
• Volume Up Button: Increases volume.
• Play/Pause Button: Controls music playback (press once for play/pause).
• Next Track Button: Skips to the next track (press once).
• Previous Track Button: Skips to the previous track (press once).

3. Connections

Connect your devices to the JBL Xtreme:

• Auxiliary Input: Connect audio sources via a 3.5mm cable.
• USB Ports: For charging external devices.
• Firmware Upgrade Port: For software updates.

4. Music Control / Bluetooth®

4.1 Music Control

• Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button once.
• Skip Track: Press the Next Track button once to go to the next song, or the Previous Track button once to go to the previous song.

4.2 Bluetooth® Connection

To connect a device via Bluetooth:

• Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker.
• On your device, select "JBL Xtreme" from the Bluetooth list.

5. Speakerphone

The JBL Xtreme features a speakerphone function with VOICE LOGIC technology for enhanced voice clarity and noise reduction.

To use the speakerphone, connect your phone via Bluetooth and answer calls directly on the speaker.

6. JBL Connect

Wirelessly link multiple JBL Connect compatible speakers together to amplify your sound experience. Press the JBL Connect button on all desired speakers to begin pairing. All connected speakers will play the same music from the same device.

8. Warning

The JBL Xtreme is splashproof, meaning it can withstand water splashes from any direction. However, submerging it in water or other liquids may result in permanent damage to the speaker.

IMPORTANT: To ensure splashproof protection:

• Remove all cable connections.
• Tightly close the zipper.
• Do not expose the JBL Xtreme to dripping or splashing while charging.

Splashproof is defined as water splashing against the enclosure from any direction having no harmful effect on the unit.
