Operation Instructions
1. Recording and Creating a Loop Phrase
1.1 Normal Recording Mode (Default):
- Select an empty memory location using the UP/DOWN buttons. A dot in the bottom right corner of the display indicates that the current memory location already contains data.
- RECORD: Press the foot switch to begin recording.
- OVERDUB: After a loop is recorded, press the foot switch again to overdub. The sequence is: Record -> Play -> Overdub.
- Changing Recording Sequence (Record-Overdub-Play): Hold down the foot switch while turning on the power (by inserting the DC jack or plugging into the OUT L jack). The display will show "rd" or "P". Select one using the arrow buttons and press the foot switch once to confirm. "rd" sets Record-Overdub-Play, and "P" sets Record-Play-Overdub.
- STOP: During playback or overdubbing, double-press the foot switch (within 1 second) to stop.
1.2 Auto Recording Mode:
- This mode can be temporarily set.
- In an empty memory slot, press and hold the STOP/MODES button for 2 seconds. The display will show "r" blinking. Press the STOP/MODES button again within 2 seconds to change it to "A-" to enable Auto Recording mode.
- In this mode, the first press of the foot switch enters recording standby (REC LED blinks). Recording automatically starts as soon as input sound signal is detected.
- Overdubbing and playback operate the same as in normal recording mode.
- Note: Auto Recording mode is a temporary setting. Switching to another memory number will revert to Normal Recording mode.
1.3 Undo/Redo/Clear:
- UNDO: During overdubbing or playback, hold the foot switch for 2 seconds to undo the most recent overdub.
- REDO: During playback, hold the foot switch for 2 seconds to restore the overdubbing that was just canceled. (A small dot between the display digits indicates restorable data.)
- CLEAR: While stopped, hold the foot switch for 2 seconds to clear all recording data in the current memory. (Saved data is not cleared.)
1.4 Stop Modes:
Loop Core Deluxe offers three stop modes:
- Press the STOP/MODES button before starting playback or during playback to select the desired stop mode:
- "SF" (or "52"): Instantly stops.
- "FR": Stops at the ending of the current loop.
- "FA": Fades out and stops in 10 seconds.
- If "FR" or "FA" is selected, the PLAY LED will blink until the loop stops. You can press the foot switch again quickly to stop instantly during this blinking period.
1.5 Switching Memory Numbers/Loops:
- Use the UP/DOWN buttons or an optional extensional pedal.
- During playback, switching to another loop causes its number to blink. When the current loop ends, the selected loop will start playing. The transition is gapless, ideal for creating complete backing tracks.
1.6 Save a Loop to Memory:
- You can save your created loops to memory. Up to 99 memories are available, each capable of storing loops up to the memory limit (total recording time up to 8 hours).
- Short press the SAVE button; the memory number and "SA" will blink on the display.
- Press UP or DOWN to choose an empty memory location (no dot in the bottom right corner). Press SAVE again to confirm storage. Alternatively, press any button other than SAVE and UP/DOWN to abandon saving.
- All data, including recordings, stop mode, tempo, and rhythm pattern, will be saved. The recording mode itself is not saved. Auto Recording mode is temporary.
- Note: You cannot save to a memory location that already has data. If the next memory number has data, the device will guide you to the closest empty memory location.
1.7 Copy a Loop Phrase:
- Choose the memory loop you want to copy.
- Short press the SAVE/DELETE button; the memory number will blink on the display.
- Press UP or DOWN to choose an empty memory location. Press SAVE/DELETE again to confirm storage.

- Press and hold the SAVE/DELETE button for two seconds; "dL" will blink on the display.
- Press SAVE/DELETE again to confirm deletion, or press any other button to abandon.
- Deletes recordings, stop mode, tempo, and selected rhythm pattern.
- Note: Do not power off or unplug the device during operations like recording, playback, saving, copying, or deleting. If the LED blinks "FL", storage space is insufficient. If the DUB LED blinks during overdubbing, storage space is insufficient for overdubbing.
2. Rhythm Tracks
The Loop Core Deluxe features 40 built-in rhythm patterns, ranging from metronome clicks to drum tracks covering various music styles. You can use rhythms to guide your recording, or even after finishing recording, turn on the rhythm tracks, and they will smartly detect your beat and follow!
- 2.1 Press the RHYTHM button or double-press the TAP TEMPO button to turn on the rhythm. The default sound is a metronome click. The RHYTHM button blinks to indicate the tempo. If you start the rhythm after a loop has been recorded, the Loop Core Deluxe will automatically detect the tempo of the loop.
- 2.2 The TAP TEMPO button lights up to indicate that you can use it to set tempo. If this button does not light up, tap tempo is not possible in that status (e.g., during recording or overdubbing).
- 2.3 Long press the TAP TEMPO button to switch time signature between 4/4 and 3/4 beat.
- 2.4 Press and hold the RHYTHM button for 2 seconds; the pattern number will blink on the display.
- 2.5 Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set your desired tempo.

- WARNING: Formatting the NUX Loop Core Deluxe will wipe away all recordings and settings, resetting it to factory defaults. Please back up all your data before formatting. Do not power off your device until the formatting process is completed.
Connections
The Loop Core Deluxe can be connected in various ways depending on your setup. Here are four common applications:
Application 1: Direct Output to Guitar Amplifier
This is the most common way guitar players use a loop pedal. The original guitar tone, loop phrase, and drum machine will output to the guitar amplifier. If connecting to a 1x12 guitar amplifier, it is suggested to turn on the frequency compensation function (press Save/Delete before power on to toggle).
Application 2: Output Only to Mixer, Soundcard, or Full-Range Speakers
Use this setup when not using a guitar amplifier. The "To Mixer" output connects to your mixer, soundcard, or speakers. If the input signal is an electric guitar, it is recommended to enable frequency compensation for a guitar sound with cabinet simulation tone. The loop phrase and drum machine will also output to the mixer.
Application 3: To Amp Output Guitar Signal, To Mixer Output Drum Machine
This setup uses both outputs simultaneously. The original guitar tone and loop phrase are sent to the guitar amplifier via the "To Amp" output, while the drum machine sound is sent separately to a mixer via the "To Mixer" output. The Loop Core Deluxe automatically detects connected devices in this configuration.
Application 4: Both Jack Outputs Guitar Sound and Drum Machine Sound (Stereo)
Use both outputs simultaneously, connecting to a mixer via a stereo channel. When both outputs are connected to a mixer, stereo sound comes from both the "To Amp" and "To Mixer" outputs. It is recommended to turn on the frequency compensation function for optimal guitar tone. (Press Save/Delete before power on to toggle Cab Simulation.)
About Battery
A 9V (6LR61) battery is supplied with the unit for testing purposes only. When the battery is running low, the sound may become distorted. If this happens, please replace the battery. To avoid unnecessary energy consumption, unplug the output jacks when the unit is not in use. It is highly recommended to use the NUX ACD-008A power adapter, as the unit's power consumption is relatively high.
NOTICE: When the display shows "Lo" blinking, it indicates that the battery is low and needs replacement.
CAUTION: Batteries (battery packs or assembled batteries) must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.
