These contactors are intended for use with Schneider Electric Overload Relay Series LR.

Safety Warnings

⚠️ DANGER / PELIGRO / GEFAHR / PERICOLO / PERIGO / ОПАСНО / 危险

Hazard of Electric Shock, Explosion, or Arc Flash: Disconnect all power before servicing equipment. Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

WARNING: Risk of Fire or Electric Shock (For Contactor with UL Hi-Fault Short Circuit Current Ratings Only)

The opening of the branch-circuit protective device may indicate that a fault current has been interrupted. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, current-carrying parts and other components should be examined and replaced if damaged. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.

Wiring and Connections

The document illustrates wiring diagrams for LC1 and LC2 contactors, showing connections for main power (L1, L2, L3) and control circuits (A1, A2). Terminal designations are provided.

Example LC1 Wiring: L1, L2, L3 connected to terminals 1, 3, 5 respectively. A1 and A2 are coil terminals. Auxiliary contacts are shown with NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) configurations.

Example LC2 Wiring: Similar connection scheme for L1, L2, L3. Control terminals A1, A2 for the coil. Diagrams show two contactors (KM1, KM2) for reversing applications.

Installation of Accessories

The manual details the installation of various accessories, such as auxiliary contact blocks (e.g., LADN, LADT, LADR) and time delay modules. The process typically involves:

  1. Aligning the accessory with the contactor.
  2. Pushing the accessory onto the contactor until it clicks into place.
  3. Using a screwdriver to secure or adjust certain components.

Specific accessory types include:

Dimensions and Mounting

Detailed dimensions are provided for LC1D and LC2D contactors, including:

Model SeriesDimension 'a' (mm)
LC1D40...D6575
LC1D80...D9585
LC2D40...D65165
LC2D80...D95182

Other dimensions (e1, e2, c, c4, c3, c1, c5, c2) are specified for LC2D series and various LC1D configurations in tables.

Mounting torque for certain connections is specified as 1.7 N.m.

The document includes a drilling template for mounting the LC1D40...D95 series.

Technical Specifications

Operating Positions: The contactors can be mounted in various orientations as illustrated.

Wiring Capacities: Tables detail the compatible wire sizes (mm²) for different contactor models (D40, D50, D65, D80, D95, LXD, LAD) and the type of terminals (e.g., Philips head screwdriver required).

Torque Values: Specific torque values are provided for connections, ranging from 1.2 N.m to 12 N.m depending on the model and wire size.

Power Consumption: Maximum power consumption is lower than 36.6 VA.

Standards: 3P AC TeSys D contactors (LC1D40 -> LC1D95) are grade 2 according to GB 21518.

Hazardous Substances Information

A table indicates the presence of toxic or hazardous substances (Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6+), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)) in the components. 'O' indicates the substance is below the limit requirement, and 'X' indicates it is above the limit requirement.
