See the Installation chapter.
Overflow Protection
The overflow protection starts to pump out and closes the water intake if the water level in the dishwasher exceeds the normal level. If the safety device is activated, the display shows F54 (Water overflow). Close the tap and contact the nearest service center. (To prevent water leakage outside the dishwasher, do not unplug the power cord until the tap on the supply line is closed!)
Winter Storage/Transport
Store the dishwasher frost-free and avoid long transport in extreme cold. Transport the dishwasher upright or lying with the back downwards. Before transporting a used dishwasher or for long-term storage, the water must be drained.
Packaging
The packaging protects the product during transport. The packaging material can be recycled. Sort the packaging for recycling to contribute to reduced raw material consumption and reduced waste. Your dealer can take back the packaging and send it for recycling or inform you about the nearest recycling station. The packaging consists of:
- Corrugated cardboard made from up to 100% recycled material.
- Expanded polystyrene (EPS) without the addition of chlorine and fluorine.
- Stiffeners made of untreated wood.
- Protective plastic made of polyethylene (PE).
Disposal
The dishwasher is manufactured and labeled for recycling. When the dishwasher is no longer in use and is to be scrapped, it must be rendered unusable immediately. Unplug the power cord and cut it as close to the machine as possible.
Contact your local municipality for information on where and how the machine should be recycled responsibly.
Before Using the Dishwasher for the First Time
Water Hardness
To achieve a good washing result, the dishwasher needs soft water (water with low lime content). Hard water causes white deposits on the dishes and in the dishwasher.
Check Water Hardness
Water hardness is specified using German degrees of water hardness (°dH), French degrees of water hardness (°fH), English degrees of water hardness (°eH), or millimoles per liter (mmol/L).
A water supply with a water hardness of over 2.8°dH (5°fH / 3.5°eH / 0.5 mmol/L) must be softened. This is done automatically by the built-in softener. For the softening system to function correctly, its settings must be adapted to the water supply's hardness. After adjusting the settings for the softening agent, add detergent and rinse aid in doses suitable for soft water.
Contact your local waterworks to check the water hardness in your area.
Note your water hardness:
°dH | °fH | °eH | mmol/L | Recommended Setting |
---|---|---|---|---|
0-2.8 | 0-5 | 0-3.5 | 0.0-0.5 | 00 |
2.9-5.6 | 6-10 | 3.6-7.0 | 0.6-1.0 | 01 |
5.7-11.2 | 11-20 | 7.1-14.0 | 1.1-2.0 | 02 |
11.3-16.8 | 21-30 | 14.1-21.0 | 2.1-3.0 | 03 |
16.9-22.4 | 31-40 | 21.1-28.0 | 3.1-4.0 | 04 |
22.5-28.0 | 41-50 | 28.1-35.0 | 4.1-5.0 | 05 |
28.1-36.4 | 51-65 | 35.1-45.5 | 5.1-6.5 | 06 |
36.4+ | 65+ | 45.5+ | 6.5+ | 07 |
If your water hardness exceeds 36.4°dH (65°fH / 45.5°eH / 6.5 mmol/L), we recommend connecting an external water softener.
Increased Consumption During Regeneration
The dishwasher's built-in descaler regenerates regularly to maintain its function. During regeneration, the wash program is extended, and energy and water consumption increase. How often the dishwasher's descaler regenerates depends on the selected setting. Example: If the Eco 55° program is run with the standard water hardness setting (04), the rinse aid regenerates at intervals, energy consumption increases by 0.025 kWh, and water consumption increases by 2.5 liters, while the program time is extended by 1 minute. Regeneration occurs during the main wash of the program.
WARNING! Hard water causes white deposits on dishes and in the dishwasher. It is therefore important to choose the correct descaler setting! See Water Hardness in the Settings chapter.
Never run the dishwasher with an empty salt container if the inlet water has a hardness of over 2.8°dH (5°fH / 3.5°eH / 0.5 mmol/L).
Basic Settings
The first time the dishwasher is turned on, it is important to select the correct settings for a good washing result. See chapter Settings.
Set:
- Rinse Aid
- Water Hardness
- TAB
Filling Rinse Aid
Drying is faster and gives a better result if rinse aid is used. You will also get a more beautiful wash result with clean and spot-free dishes.
Fill the rinse aid dispenser if you have selected Rinse Aid 01-05.
Instructions for filling rinse aid:
- Open the rinse aid dispenser lid.
- Carefully fill the rinse aid dispenser up to the MAX mark.
- Wipe away any spilled rinse aid around the dispenser with a cloth.
- Close the lid correctly.
It may take some time before the symbol stops lighting up after filling.
Filling Salt
Fill the salt container if you have selected Water Hardness 01 - 07.
Instructions for filling salt:
- Unscrew the lid of the salt container by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Insert the funnel supplied with the dishwasher into the filling hole of the container. (The first time, it is enough to just add water).
- Fill with salt until the container is full (max. 750 grams). Use special dishwasher salt.
- Wipe off excess salt so that the lid can be screwed on properly.
It may take some time before the symbol stops lighting up after filling.
WARNING! To avoid rust spots, start a wash program immediately after filling with salt.
Never pour dishwasher detergent into the salt container. This carries a risk of damage to the descaler!
More Environmentally Friendly Washing
Save Energy and Water
When washing dishes in a household dishwasher, less energy and water are normally used than when washing by hand.
Do Not Rinse Under Running Water
Do not rinse dishes under the tap, as this leads to increased energy and water consumption. Simply scrape off larger food residues before loading the dishwasher.
Choose an Environmentally Friendly Detergent
Read the environmental declarations on the packaging!
Overdosing of detergent, rinse aid, and salt can impair the washing result and also place an extra burden on the environment.
Run a Full Dishwasher
Save energy and water by waiting to start the dishwasher until it is full (see number of standard place settings). Use the 1h 65° program with the Quick Wash option to rinse dishes if you have odor problems.
Wash at Lower Temperatures
If the dishes are only lightly soiled, you can choose a low-temperature program.
Select Wash Program – Eco 55°
This program is suitable for washing normally soiled dishes and is the most efficient program in terms of combined energy and water consumption. This program is used to assess compliance with EU ecodesign legislation. The wash program is designed to wash effectively with the lowest possible energy and water consumption. The program washes at a low temperature for a long time.
Automatic Drying (Auto Dry) Setting
For shorter cycles and better drying, activate the Automatic Drying function, which automatically opens the dishwasher door. Wait until the cycle is finished and the dishes have cooled down before emptying the machine. Ensure that built-in units are surrounded by materials that can withstand potential condensation from the dishwasher.
Connect the Dishwasher to Cold Water
Connect the dishwasher to cold water if the property is heated by oil, electricity, or gas.
Connection to Hot Water
Connect the dishwasher to hot water (max. 60 °C) if the property is heated by energy-saving hot water systems such as district heating, solar cells, or geothermal heating. Choosing a hot water connection reduces the dishwasher's energy consumption.
NOTE! Do not exceed the permissible temperature of the incoming water. Some materials in certain household items cannot withstand high temperatures. See Fragile Dishes in the Loading the Dishwasher chapter.
Loading the Dishwasher
Fragile Dishes
Some household items are not dishwasher-safe. This can be due to several reasons. Some materials cannot withstand high temperatures, others can be damaged by dishwasher detergent.
Be careful with, for example, handmade items, fragile decorations, crystal/glass, silver, copper, tin, aluminum, wood, and plastic. Look for the "Dishwasher Safe" label.
Loading Affects the Result
Be careful how you load the dishes to achieve the best wash and drying result with the lowest possible energy and water consumption. Give your dishwasher the best conditions to reach around and wash all surfaces, and to dry the dishes properly.
- Turn all soiled surfaces inwards and downwards!
- Dishes should not lie on top of or next to each other.
- Place dishes with indentations diagonally, e.g., cups, so that the rinse water runs off. This is also important for plastic items.
- Ensure that small items do not fall through the dishwasher basket. Place them in the cutlery basket.
NOTE! Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
Dishwasher Baskets
The dishwasher is equipped with an upper basket and a lower basket with a cutlery basket. The appearance of the baskets may vary depending on the dishwasher model.
Upper Basket
Place glasses, cups, bowls, saucers, and plates in the upper basket. Turn all soiled surfaces inwards and downwards! Wine glasses are placed on the wine glass shelf, and knives are placed in the cutlery rack on the right.
Adjusting the Upper Basket Height:
- Pull out the upper basket.
- Take hold of the sides of the upper basket with both hands and lift it up.
- When the upper basket is in the upper position and is lifted up, it lowers to the lower position.
Note that both sides of the basket must always be placed at the same height.
Lower Basket
Place small and large plates, platters, pots, and cutlery (in the cutlery basket) in the lower basket.
Adjustable Plate Supports
The adjustable plate supports can be folded down to better accommodate pots and bowls.
Cutlery Basket
Place cutlery and sharp knives with the handles downwards and spread out as much as possible. Check that spoons do not lie on top of each other.
The cutlery basket is placed in the lower basket.
Cutlery Basket with Lid
The lid on the cutlery basket can be removed.
Flexible Cutlery Basket
The cutlery basket is flexible and can be divided into two parts, which can be hung on the side of the lower basket.
Using the Dishwasher
Dosing Detergent
Follow the dosing instructions on the detergent packaging. The dishwasher is equipped with a descaler, so you should dose the detergent according to the dosing instructions for soft water.
Overdosing of detergent impairs the washing result and burdens the environment.
Detergent Compartment
The detergent compartment must be dry when dosing the detergent.
Note: Use only dishwasher detergent! Regular dish soap creates excessive foam, which prevents the dishwasher from working, and therefore cannot be used.
Combination Detergent
There are many different types of combination detergents on the market. Read the instructions for these products carefully.
Activate the TAB setting and deactivate the Rinse Aid setting when using a combined detergent that contains rinse aid.
It is not recommended to use dishwasher tabs for short programs (under 75 minutes). Use powder or liquid detergent instead.
Note: You will get optimal wash and drying results by using regular dishwasher detergent with separate dosing of rinse aid and salt.
Contact the detergent manufacturer if you have questions regarding detergent.
Power On/Off
Close the door properly, otherwise the dishwasher will not start. Press the power button to turn on the dishwasher. Also ensure that the water tap is turned on.

- Eco 55°: This program is suitable for washing normally soiled dishes and is the most efficient program in terms of combined energy and water consumption. This program is used to assess compliance with EU ecodesign legislation. For information on more environmentally friendly washing, see the chapter More Environmentally Friendly Washing. For dissolving heavy grease on heavily soiled dishes, a higher temperature program should be used.
- Auto 45-65°: The dishwasher assesses the soil level of the dishes to adjust water consumption and temperature. It needs to run five cycles after installation to fully adjust and optimize performance.
- 1h 65°: A quick program for lightly soiled dishes (This program is not suitable for burnt-on residues on baking trays). Activate the Automatic Drying function for the best drying results.
- Intensive 70°: A program with high temperature that dissolves grease on heavily soiled dishes, such as pots, pans, and gratin dishes. If the dishwasher is not completely full with this type of dish, you can fill the remaining space with plates and other dishes.
- Glass 40°: A gentle wash program with low temperature for washing delicate items in crystal/glass. Pay attention to using detergent sparingly and placing the items so they do not collide during washing. See also Fragile Dishes in the Loading the Dishwasher chapter. Porcelain that has just been used and does not have dried-on food residues can also be washed with this program.
- Hygiene 70°: This program is ideal when extra hygiene is required, for example, when washing baby bottles and cutting boards. The temperature is high in both the main wash and the final rinse.
- Self Clean: Self-cleaning program for hygienic cleaning of the dishwasher's interior and spray arms. The program should be run (without dishes in the machine) with regular dishwasher detergent or citric acid. Cleaning agents adapted for dishwashers are also available on the market. The drain hose is blocked. | Loosen the drain hose where it connects to the sink's water trap. Check that nothing is stuck and that the connection's inner diameter is at least 14 mm. | |
Bad smell in the dishwasher. | Dirt on seals and in corners. A low-temperature program has been selected for a longer period. Fat deposits in the dishwasher. |
Clean with a dish brush and a low-foaming detergent. Run a high-temperature program once or twice a month. Or run a self-cleaning program. See Self Clean in the Using the Dishwasher chapter. Select a high-temperature program that dissolves grease on heavily soiled dishes, e.g., Intensive 70°. Or run a self-cleaning program. See Self Clean in the Using the Dishwasher chapter. |
The dishes are not sufficiently dry. | The dishwasher is not fully loaded. Rinse aid has run out, or the dosage is too low. The TAB setting is activated, and a combination detergent with insufficient drying effect is used. The automatic drying setting is not activated. |
Fully load the dishwasher. Refill rinse aid, or increase the rinse aid dosage setting. See Rinse Aid in the Settings chapter. Switch to another combination detergent, or deactivate the TAB setting, and refill salt and separate rinse aid. See Rinse Aid in the Settings chapter. Activate the automatic drying function. See the Settings chapter. |

Safety Instructions
- Connection to electricity, water, and drain must be performed by a person with the necessary competence.
- Always follow current regulations for water, drain, and electricity.
- Be careful during installation! Wear protective gloves! Always have two people working!
- Place a leak protection on the floor under the dishwasher to prevent potential water leakage.
- Test run the dishwasher with the 1h 65° program with the Quick Wash option before securing it. Check that the dishwasher takes in water and drains it. Also check that the connections are completely tight.
- WARNING! Turn off the water supply when installing the dishwasher! The power cord must be unplugged, or the power must be disconnected during work!
Setup
- The built-in and connection dimensions are specified in the separate installation guide. Check that all dimensions match before starting the installation. Note that the height of the overlay door can be adjusted to match the rest of the interior.
- Check that the base is stable. Adjust the adjustable feet so that the dishwasher stands level.
- If the dishwasher is built-in, the cabinetry must be able to withstand any condensation from the dishwasher.
- Mount the protective film under the countertop and around the edge. The function of the protective film is to protect the countertop from moisture. (The protective film is included in the bag.)
- Be aware that it may be necessary to adjust the door springs when the overlay door is mounted. Adjust the left and right door springs equally until the door is evenly balanced.
Drain Connection
This dishwasher is suitable for installation in a raised recess (for a more ergonomic height). This means the dishwasher can be positioned so that the drain hose outlet is at a lower level than the bottom of the dishwasher, e.g., fed directly to a floor drain.
The dishwasher is equipped with an integrated protective device that prevents it from being emptied of water during the wash.
The drain hose can also be fed to a connection nozzle at the sink's water trap. The connection nozzle's inner diameter must be at least 14 mm.
The drain hose can be extended up to a maximum of 3 m (the total length of the drain hose must not exceed 4.5 m). Any joints and connecting pipes must have an inner diameter of at least 14 mm. However, it is best to replace the drain hose with a new one without joints.
No part of the drain hose may be placed more than 950 mm above the dishwasher's base. Mount the drain hose with a hose clamp. Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked.
Water Connection
Only use the inlet hose supplied with the dishwasher. Do not reuse old or other loose hoses.
The supply line must be equipped with a stopcock. The stopcock must be placed in an easily accessible location so that the water can be turned off if the dishwasher needs to be moved.
Open the stopcock when the machine has been installed and let the pressure build up for a while to check that all connections are tight.
Cold Water Connection
Connect the dishwasher to cold water if the property is heated by oil, electricity, or gas.
Hot Water Connection
Connect the dishwasher to hot water (max. 60 °C) if the property is heated by energy-saving hot water systems such as district heating, solar cells, or geothermal heating. Choosing a hot water connection reduces the dishwasher's energy consumption.
NOTE! Do not exceed the permissible temperature of the incoming water. Some materials in certain household items cannot withstand high temperatures. See Fragile Dishes in the Loading the Dishwasher chapter.
Electrical Connection
Information about the electrical connection can be found on the rating plate. This information must match the mains data.
Connection to Socket
The machine is supplied with an EU-approved plug, which must not be used in a Danish installation, as the machine is thereby not earthed according to the Danish High Voltage Regulations. Replacement with a Danish plug must be carried out by an authorized electrician. Alternatively, an adapter approved for the purpose can be used for the transition between the Schuko plug and the Danish earthing system.
If the machine is connected with a plug, the following should be noted: The plug must always be accessible so that the machine can be disconnected from the power supply.
When connecting the machine to a fixed installation, ensure correct connection according to the color coding.
The electrical installation must only be carried out by an authorized installer, taking into account applicable safety regulations.
NOTE! Must be additionally protected according to high voltage regulations.
