Sonar Operation
Sonar Menu
The Sonar Menu provides access to various sonar settings:
- Sensitivity
- Scale
- Frequency
- Elim. Interference
- Pulse Speed
- Color Line
- Fish ID
- Overlay Data
- Settings
Sonar Page
Displays sonar data including depth, temperature, frequency, and fish arches.
Sensitivity
Controls the level of detail shown on the screen. Excessive detail can cause clutter, while too low sensitivity may prevent weak echoes from being displayed.
- Auto: Default setting, adapts to most conditions, reducing the need for manual adjustments.
- Manual: Allows complete control over sensitivity settings.
- Adjust: Provides sensitivity control, which is complete in Manual mode and limited in Auto mode.
Color Line
Separates strong sonar echoes from weak ones, making it easier to distinguish fish or structures from the bottom. Strong returns appear as wide, light yellow areas, while weak signals appear as narrow, reddish-blue areas.
Scale
Selects the visible water depth on the screen. The unit may fail to get a bottom signal if the selected range indicates water that is too shallow.
Frequency
Used to select the unit's sonar frequency. This unit supports 83 kHz and 200 kHz frequencies. The frequency can also be adjusted using the corresponding button.
Fish ID
Displays fish echoes with a fish symbol instead of arches. Note: Fish ID is not the most accurate method for detecting fish, as it may display suspended structures and impurities with a fish symbol.
Elim. Interference
Utilizes advanced signal processing to filter and exclude interference effects caused by boat systems, water conditions, engine starting systems, and more.
Pulse Speed
Controls the speed of the sonar pulse transmitted by the transducer. Adjustments to pulse speed can help reduce interference generated by other transducers. The default speed is optimized for most fishing conditions and rarely needs adjustment.
Overlay Data
Select Overlay Data to add Depth, Temperature, and Voltage information to the screen. You can also choose the size of the overlay.
