Inserting the batteries in the remote control
The remote control is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries.
To install or replace the batteries:
- Press and then slide the cover to open it.
- Insert the batteries with the correct polarity (+) and (-).
- Replace the cover.
Caution
Incorrect use of batteries may cause leakage or explosion. Follow these instructions:
- Insert "AAA" batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix battery types.
- Do not use a new battery with a used one together, as this may cause leakage or shorten battery life.
- Remove dead batteries immediately to avoid battery leakage. Do not touch exposed battery acid, as it may cause skin injury.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire or hot ovens, or crush or cut them, as this can result in an explosion. Do not leave batteries in extremely high temperatures or low air pressure environments, as this can also result in an explosion or leakage.
- Note: Remove batteries from the compartment when not using for an extended period.
Handling the remote control
- Do not drop or apply shock to the remote control.
- Do not allow any liquid to get inside the remote control. If water enters, wipe immediately with a dry cloth.
- Do not place the remote control near heat and steam sources.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the remote control, unless you need to replace batteries.
Operating range of the remote control
Point the top front of the remote control at the remote sensor on the display when pressing buttons. Use the remote control within 10m of the display's sensor, with a horizontal angle of less than 45° and a vertical angle of less than 15°.

Chapter 2.Adjusting and using your monitor
This section provides information on adjusting and using your monitor.
Comfort and accessibility
Good ergonomic practice is important for comfort and performance. Arrange your workplace and equipment to suit your individual needs and work type. Use healthy work habits to maximize performance and comfort. For more detailed information, visit the Healthy Computing Web site at: http://www.lenovo.com/healthycomputing/.
Arranging your work area
Use a work surface of appropriate height and available area. Keep your work area clean and clear, placing frequently used items like the mouse or telephone within easy reach. Equipment layout and setup significantly impact working posture. The following topics describe how to optimize equipment setup for good working posture.
Positioning and viewing your monitor
Position and adjust your monitor for comfortable viewing by considering:
- Viewing distance: Recommended distance is 1.5 times the diagonal of the screen. In cramped spaces, pull the desk away from the wall, use compact displays, or place the monitor in a corner. An adjustable keyboard drawer can create a deeper working surface.
- Monitor height: Position the monitor so your head and neck are in a comfortable, neutral position. If height adjustments are not available, use sturdy objects like books under the base. A general guideline is to position the top of the screen at or slightly below eye-height when seated. Optimize height for visual comfort and relaxed eye muscles.
- Tilt: Adjust the tilt to optimize screen content appearance and accommodate your preferred head and neck posture.
- General location: Position your monitor to avoid glare or reflections from overhead lighting or nearby windows.
Additional tips for comfortable viewing:
- Use adequate lighting for your work.
- Use monitor brightness, contrast, and image adjustment controls to optimize the image.
- Keep your monitor screen clean for better focus.
Sustained visual activity can tire your eyes. Periodically look away from the screen and focus on a far object to relax your eye muscles. Consult a vision care specialist for eye fatigue or visual discomfort.
Quick tips for healthy work habits
Consider these factors for comfortable and productive computer use:
- Good posture starts with equipment setup: Optimize your work area and equipment positioning for comfortable posture. Use adjustment capabilities of furniture and equipment.
- Minor changes in posture can help avoid discomfort: Avoid maintaining one posture for extended periods. Periodically make minor posture modifications. Utilize furniture/equipment adjustments.
- Short, periodic breaks help ensure healthy computing: Take short breaks to stand, stretch, walk, or get a drink of water. This provides a welcome change in posture and helps maintain comfort and productivity.
Accessibility information
Lenovo is committed to providing access to information and technology for people with disabilities. Assistive technologies help users access information appropriately. Some are built into the operating system; others can be purchased or accessed at: https://lenovo.ssbbartgroup.com/lenovo/request_vpat.php
Adjusting your monitor image
This section describes user control features for adjusting your monitor image.
Using the On-Screen Display(OSD) controls
To adjust settings, use the OSD. The OSD screenshot shows controls for Brightness, Color mode, Contrast, Volume, Audio Mode, LED indicator, and Menu settings. It also displays input signal (USB-C), USB-C Power Delivery (96W), Resolution (3840x2160), and Refresh rate (60Hz).
To use the controls:
- Use the remote control [HOME] button to open the main OSD menu.
- Use the remote control navigation buttons (e.g., [Up Arrow], [Down Arrow]) to move among icons. Select an icon and use the [OK] button to access its function. For sub-menus, navigate options using navigation buttons, then press [OK] to select. Use navigation buttons to make adjustments, then press [OK] to save.
- Use the remote control [BACK] button to move backwards through sub-menus and exit the OSD.
- The ENERGY STAR option resets all user settings to default values to meet Energy Star requirements.
ENERGY STAR is an energy-saving program for consumer electronics led by the U.S. government, launched in 1992 by EPA and DOE to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The logo symbolizes energy conservation and environmental protection, promoting energy efficiency for consumers and manufacturers. Energy Star regulations improve energy efficiency and reduce air pollution by encouraging the use of energy-efficient equipment. Management to reduce energy consumption when products are not in use is a key goal. Default monitor settings conform to Energy Star certification. Changes that increase power consumption may exceed Energy Star limits. Selecting "All Reset Factory" or the "Energy Star" option restores power consumption to Energy Star standards. For more information, visit www.energystar.gov/products.

*Low Blue Light: The display uses the low blue light panel. It complies with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Hardware Solution certification under factory reset/default setting (Low Blue Light=Standard, Brightness:75%, Contrast: 75%, CCT: Warm). Flicker-free technology is designed to regulate brightness and reduce flicker for more comfortable viewing.
Selecting a supported display mode
The display mode is controlled by the computer. Refer to your computer documentation on how to change display modes. Image size, position, and shape may change with display mode, which is normal and can be re-adjusted. Unlike CRT monitors, LCD/Panel technology is inherently flicker-free.
Note: If your system was previously used with a CRT monitor and is configured to a mode outside this monitor's range, temporarily reattach the CRT monitor to re-configure the system, preferably to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz.
The display modes shown below have been optimized at the factory.
Note: According to VESA standards, there may be a +/-1Hz error in refresh rate calculation. The nominal refresh rate of this product has been rounded off for compatibility.
