Attention
This document contains the Release Notes for Reader Controller firmware version 01.07.05. The version includes feature updates and improvements made after the RC firmware 01.06.01 released in May of 2021.
Installation and Update Notes
Installation
Device firmware updates are made available through the Pure Access Software. The Reader Controller firmware is updated by selecting Device Update in the Pure Access software.
Firmware versions to be installed with this update:
- Main Application: 01.07.05
- Reader Application: 2.8.1
- BLE Application: 02.12.06.327, 01.10.03, 01-1.7.0
NOTE: The BOLD item(s) are updated from the previous release.
Other system components versions to be used with this release: (or newer)
- Android Application: 4.6.167
- iOS application: 3.7.0
- ENGAGE: 8.0.0
Who Should Update?
Allegion recommends keeping all devices at your site up to date with the latest firmware and software. The latest firmware and software releases allow customers to get the most from their devices.
Specifically, all customers who would be interested in the following New Features and Recent Changes should update all the devices and mobile devices used at their site:
New Features:
- Auto Unlock with Badge Feature: New feature allows specified credentials to initiate an Auto Unlock. This feature is only available in extended schedule mode.
Recent Changes:
- Device names can now be up to 40 characters.
- HMAC support has been added.
- Fixed an issue where database update with a deleteAll set to 1 was not deleting the first record.
- Fixed an issue where controller was granting access to PIN's shorter than assigned pin length.
- Fixed an issue where the '*' key was not timing out.
- Fixed an issue where the device was generating incremental database deletion audit during a multipage database update.
- Fixed an issue where an incomplete multipage download followed by a full database download was granting access to users from the incomplete database.
- Fixed an issue that prevented processing of a database as a multipage database transfer when deleteAll = 0 and partialDb Tag was set to a non-zero value.
