BJÖRKSTA Picture Frame Assembly Instructions
This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA BJÖRKSTA picture frame. It includes information on handling the canvas and mounting the frame on the wall.
Important Information
The canvas may have a distinctive smell when first unpacked. This is completely natural, as all new materials have their own particular smell that gradually disappears.
As wall materials vary, screws for fixing to the wall are not included. For advice on suitable screw systems, contact your local specialised dealer.
Assembly Steps
The following steps outline the assembly process. Please refer to the diagrams for visual guidance.
- Prepare the Canvas: Place the canvas on a clean, flat surface. Ensure the correct side is facing up as indicated in the diagrams.
- Assemble the Frame: Connect the frame pieces together. The diagrams show how to join the corners and secure them.
- Attach Canvas to Frame: Carefully stretch the canvas over the assembled frame. Use the provided fasteners or clips to secure the canvas to the frame edges. There are multiple points of attachment indicated by numbered arrows in the diagrams.
- Secure the Frame: Ensure all fasteners are properly tightened and the canvas is taut.
- Wall Mounting:
- Determine the desired location for your picture frame.
- Use a level to ensure the mounting brackets are installed straight.
- Attach the mounting brackets to the wall using appropriate screws and wall anchors for your wall type (not included).
- Hang the assembled picture frame onto the wall-mounted brackets.
Note: The diagrams illustrate the process of attaching the canvas to the frame and securing it. Pay close attention to the orientation and placement of fasteners.
Care and Maintenance
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
