Foxwell NT204/NT201 OBDII/EOBD Code Reader Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for using the Foxwell NT204/NT201 OBDII/EOBD Code Reader.
OBD Service Modes
- Mode 1: Real-time data, MIL, IM monitors.
- Mode 2: Freeze frame.
- Mode 3: Stored DTCs.
- Mode 4: Clear/Reset DTCs and emissions-related diagnostic information.
- Mode 5: O2 monitoring tests, supported.
- Mode 6: Test results for continuously and noncontinuously monitored systems, supported.
- Mode 7: Pending DTCs.
- Mode 8: Request control of on-board-system, test or component (bidirectional controls).
- Mode 9: Request VIN and other data.
- Mode 10: Allows a scan tool to obtain permanent codes.
Updating
Important Note: Do not disconnect the scanner from the computer or power off the computer during the process of updating.
No Registration Required. Compatible with PC: Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.
- Download the update tool NT_WONDER and install it.
- Enable NT_WONDER and connect the NT204/NT201 to the computer with a USB cable.
- Click "Update online" or "Update offline" to start updating according to the software version conditions.
- An "Update Finished" message displays when the update is completed.

NT204/NT201 OBD II /EOBD CODE READER
The NT204/NT201 CAN OBDII/EOBD Code Reader allows car owners to troubleshoot OBDII/EOBD problems on today's vehicles easily. Its 2.4" TFT color screen and hot key for I/M test make it excellent value for money.

How to use NT204/NT201?
Before starting diagnosis, please ensure:
- The ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
- The engine is off.
- The vehicle battery voltage is between 10-14 volts.
- The scanner is connected to the vehicle correctly.
Caution: Do not connect or disconnect the equipment while the ignition is on or the engine is running.
Diagram: A visual representation shows the OBD interface on a vehicle, indicating where to insert the OBD connector.
- Turn on the ignition of your car.
- In the main menu, ENTER OBDII/EOBD, then NT204/NT201 starts scanning. Wait for several seconds, choose "yes/no" with the right arrow key, and enter the Diagnostic Menu.
- Choose "Read Codes" - Choose each selection to check. Pending Codes means the codes need to be confirmed after several driving cycles.
- Enter "Live Data", graphing selected live data will also help locate bad sensors.
- Enter "View Freeze Frame", which is a snapshot of critical vehicle operating conditions automatically recorded by the on-board computer at the time DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) is set. Check the data which you need to locate bad sensors.
- O2 Monitor Test, On-Board Monitor Test, Component Test: The availability of these tests may depend on the actual condition of your vehicle.
- Enter "I/M Readiness".
