Thank you for purchasing this Edifier product. This product can add great sound performance to your home entertainment, personal computer, and mini home theater. Please read this manual carefully to obtain the best of this system.
The lightning flash with arrowhead inside the triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated dangerous voltage within the product's enclosure that may be of a sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
To prevent the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back). No user-serviceable Parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified Service personnel only.
The exclamation point inside the triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product. [?]

- Clean only with dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

Product Overview and Controls
The R1100 Multimedia Speaker system consists of an active speaker and a passive speaker. The active speaker houses the controls and amplification.
Key controls and connections on the active speaker:
- 1. Bass adjustment: Knob for controlling the low-frequency response.
- 2. Master volume control: Knob for adjusting the overall loudness.
- 3. Line-in: Audio input port (e.g., for PC or AUX devices).
- 4. Power switch: Button to turn the system on or off.
- 5. Power cord: Cable for connecting the system to a mains power outlet.
- 6. Wire clip: Terminals for connecting the passive speaker to the active speaker using the speaker connecting cable.
Making Connections
To connect your R1100 speakers:
- Connect the passive speaker to the active speaker using the provided speaker connecting cable. Ensure the correct polarity is maintained at the wire clips.
- Connect your audio source to the active speaker's input ports. You can use either the 3.5 mm to dual RCA audio cable (for connecting to a computer's headphone jack or other devices with a 3.5mm output) or the dual RCA to dual RCA audio cable (for connecting to devices with RCA outputs).
- Connect the power cord to the active speaker and then to a suitable mains power outlet.
- Turn on the power switch.
The system is now ready to use. Adjust the volume and bass controls as desired.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Edifier R1100 speakers, please check the following:
- No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely connected to the speaker and the wall outlet, and that the wall outlet is switched on.
- No Sound / Low Volume: Switch the system off and on again. Ensure the audio source is connected correctly. Check if the master volume is turned to minimum and increase it.
- Distorted Sound: Ensure the audio input cable is connected correctly and that there is a strong signal from the audio source.
- No Signal from Audio Source: Verify that the correct input (PC or AUX) is selected and that the audio source is playing.
