Add Device
Step 1: Download Smart Life APP
Search for "Smart Life" by name or scan the QR code to download the App on your smartphone.
Step 2: Register Account
Register with your mobile number or email. A verification code will be sent to you.
Step 3: Add Device
- Power on the strip light and open the Smart Life App.
- Ensure GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth are enabled.
- Tap the '+' icon in the top right corner to start adding a device.
- The app will automatically search for nearby devices. Wait for a few seconds.
- Once the device is found, select your 2.4G Wi-Fi network and input the password to register the device to the cloud service.
Step 4: Resetting the Device
You may need to reset the device in the following situations:
- When you cannot connect the device to your App.
- When someone else wants to add the product to their phone.
- When you change your Wi-Fi status (e.g., change Wi-Fi name or password, or replace your router).
Step 5: How to Reset the Strip Light
- Method 1: Press the power button for at least 5 seconds until the strip light starts blinking in red. This resets the device to pairing mode. Then, add the device to the App again.
- Method 2: Quickly press the Wi-Fi button on the remote three times in less than 1.5 seconds until the strip light starts blinking in red. This resets the device to pairing mode. Then, add the device to the App again.
Controller Box / Remote Control
The controller box has buttons for On/Off/Reset, Brightness Cycling, Music Dancing, Modes Cycling, and Strobe Flash.
APP Control / Voice Control
The app allows control over Color, Modes Cycling, Speed Cycling, Brightness Cycling, Music Dancing, and different color options.
Link Smart Life Account to Echo (Amazon Alexa)
- Open the Alexa App and tap the menu in the upper left corner.
- Go to 'Skills'.
- Search for the 'Smart Life' skill in the search bar.
- Select the 'Smart Life' skill.
- Tap 'Enable'. Account linking is required.
- Enter your Smart Life account information and tap 'Link Now' to link your account to your Amazon account.
- Your Amazon Echo is now connected to your Smart Life system.
- Discover Devices: You can discover devices on the Alexa App by going to 'Home' → 'Smart Home' → 'Discover Devices', or by saying 'Alexa, discover devices'.
Control Devices by Voice Commands with Alexa:
- 'Alexa, turn on/off strip light.'
- 'Alexa, set strip light to 50 percent.'
- 'Alexa, brighten/increase strip light.'
- 'Alexa, dim/decrease strip light.'
Link Smart Life Account to Google Home
Ensure your Google Home is set up correctly.
- In the Google Home App, tap '+' on the home page, then tap 'Set up device'. Select 'Works with Google'.
- Find 'Smart Life' in the list. Select your region, enter your Smart Life account and password, then tap 'Link Now'.
- After assigning rooms for your devices, they will appear on the Home Control page.
Control Your Smart Devices through Google Home:
Example commands for a bedroom light:
- 'OK Google, turn on/off bedroom light.'
- 'OK Google, set bedroom light to 50 percent.'
- 'OK Google, brighten bedroom light.'
- 'OK Google, dim bedroom light.'
- 'OK Google, set bedroom light to red.'
