This document provides installation instructions for the Lindab Solus ventilation baffle. The Solus is designed for efficient air distribution in various ceiling systems.

Dimensions and Specifications

The Solus unit is available in different models, primarily distinguished by length. The following table details the dimensions and weight:

Symbols Legend:

• Heavy Load: Indicates a task requiring two people or the use of a lifting device (e.g., a "lift"). This is recommended for safe and efficient mounting.

Ceiling System Compatibility

The Solus baffle can be installed in various ceiling systems. The following table and diagrams illustrate compatible systems and mounting methods:

• T24/T15 Grid Systems: Compatible with standard 600 x 600 mm or 625 x 625 mm ceiling tiles.
• Permanent Ceilings: Suitable for fixed, non-removable, or non-cleanable ceiling structures.
• Clip-in Systems: Compatible with Dampa Clip-in and Luxalon Clip-in systems.

Specific compatible ceiling types mentioned include Danotile Contur, Ecophon D, Rockfon D-XL, Ecophon Focus DG, Rockfon E10 24, Ecophon E/T24, Rockfon E10 15, Ecophon E/T15, Danotile Markant, and Ecophon Focus DS.

Some ceiling types are noted as "Not clenable" (Ej rensbar, Ei puhdistettava, Reinigung nicht möglich, Non ispezionable, Non amovible).

Connection Possibilities (Air & Water)

The Solus unit supports connections for both supply air and water. Diagrams illustrate the typical connection points:

• Supply Air: The unit can be connected for supply air distribution. The diagram shows connection point 'A'.
• Water: The unit can also be connected for water circulation. Diagrams show connection points labeled '1' and '3'.

Mounting Accessories

Two primary types of mounting accessories are recommended for the Solus unit:

• Threaded Rod M8: Used for suspension. Four M8 threaded rods (x4) are typically required. These accessories are not included with the unit.
• MHS (Schnellspannhänger): Quick-release hangers for mounting. Four MHS units (x4) are typically required. These accessories are also not included.

Both accessory types are rated for a load capacity of 10-25 kg.

Mounting Procedure

The Solus unit is designed for installation within suspended ceilings. The process involves suspending the unit using appropriate accessories and ensuring correct placement within the ceiling grid.

Diagrams illustrate the mounting steps, showing suspension points and dimensions for accurate installation. Key dimensions provided include approximately 592 mm width and various height measurements (e.g., 110 mm, 200 mm, 370 mm) related to the ceiling structure and unit placement.

The unit has a load capacity of 10-25 kg.

Face Plate Removal

The front face plate of the Solus unit can be opened or removed for access. The face plate is typically held by a service wire, allowing it to hang safely during maintenance or installation.

Detailed instructions and diagrams (showing points A, B, C, D) explain how to open and detach the face plate. It is noted that the face plate can be completely removed once detached from the service wire.
