Lindab Atrium Loggia / -H / -C Heating and Cooling Panels
Lindab | we simplify construction
Introduction
Most of us spend the majority of our time indoors. Indoor climate is crucial to how we feel, how productive we are and if we stay healthy. Lindab's objective is to contribute to an indoor climate that improves people's lives by developing energy-efficient ventilation solutions and durable building products. Lindab also aims to contribute to a better climate for our planet by working in a way that is sustainable for both people and the environment.
This document provides an overview and installation guidance for the Lindab Atrium Loggia / -H / -C heating and cooling panels.
Delivery Control
Control the delivery! Example of delivery code: Atrium H & C/Loggia - 60 - 10 - 1 - 4.8 m.
Delivery code components: Width (cm), Water connection (mm), Pipe connection type, Length (m).
Way of mounting | Included mounting details |
---|---|
Free mounted | 4-6 adjustable pendulums (alternative chains) |
Direct to ceiling | 4-6 angle brackets panel |
Integrated into false ceilings | 4-6 angle brackets outer |
Support sleeves are included for all connection pipes using compression fittings. Refer to supplier installation instructions.
Lindab recommends 4 pieces of hangers for panels < 4.0 m and 6 pieces for panels ≥ 4.0 m length.
Mounting Options
Atrium H/C and Loggia panels can be mounted either directly to the concrete ceiling or hanging in pendulums. Atrium C and Loggia can also be integrated into false ceilings.
Mounting Methods:
Free Hanging / Adjustable Pendulums
Method 1: Using adjustable pendulums
- Measure and drill into the ceiling for the strips/panels brackets. Use 4 pieces for lengths up to 4.0 m, and 6 pieces for longer units.
- Screw up the brackets into the ceiling.
- Hang up the pendulums into these brackets.
- Hang up the strips/panel with the Atrium panel hook into the edge of the panel and connect the pendulums into these.
- Adjust the length of the pendulums. Also adjust for the false ceiling height if it's mounted into this.
Mounting in Chains
Method 2: Using chains
- Measure and drill into the ceiling for the strips/panels brackets. Use 4 pieces for lengths up to 4.0 m, and 6 pieces for longer units. Observe that the chains must be angled inwards so the angle brackets will be secured.
- Screw up the brackets for the chains into the ceiling.
- Hang up the strips/panel with the Atrium panel hook into the edge of the panel.
- Adjust the length of the chains as shown in the diagrams.
Mounting Direct to Concrete
Method 3: Direct mounting
- Measure and drill into the concrete for Atrium mounting brackets. Use 6 pieces for lengths above 4.0 m.
- Screw up the strips/panel against the concrete using the mounting brackets.
Diagram descriptions:
- Free hanging: Panels suspended from the ceiling using chains or pendulums.
- Direct to concrete: Panels mounted flush against a solid ceiling surface.
- Integrated into false ceilings: Panels fitted within a suspended ceiling structure.
- Mounting with Atrium hanger for Sports hall: A specific bracket system for sports hall installations.
Water Connection
Various connection alternatives are available:
- 1 (1 connected): The supply and return are located in the same end-piece. This coupling is available with one pipe dimension per panel width.
- 13 (double circuit): The supply is in one end-piece and the return in the other. This coupling is available with one pipe dimension per panel width.
- 1+13 (1 connected + double circuit): A combination of a 1-connected panel and a double-circuit panel. This coupling is available with only one pipe dimension per panel width.
- 13+13 (straight through): The supply is in one end-piece and the return in the other. This coupling is available with one pipe dimension per panel width.
Pipe dimensions by panel width:
Panel Width | 1 (1 connected) | 13 (double circuit) | 1+13 (1 connected + double circuit) | 13+13 (straight through) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Width 33 mm | Ø10 mm | Ø10 mm | Ø10 mm | Ø12 mm |
Width 60 mm | Ø10 + Ø12 mm | Ø12 mm | Ø12 mm | Ø15 mm |
Width 87 mm | Ø10 + Ø15 mm | Ø15 mm | Ø15 mm | Ø22 mm |
Connect water with compression coupling or similar. Use the support sleeves. Do not solder! ❌
False Ceiling Adaptation (Atrium H/C)
For easier installation, it is recommended that the false ceiling installer mounts head profiles before the main beams are installed. If head profiles are already mounted, use a line/wire to ensure the beams are in the correct position.
- Fix the head profiles against the panel using pop rivets or screws.
- Mount secondary profiles around the panel. Cut off steering pins and fix with pop rivets.
- For horizontal connection pipes, one false ceiling plate and one secondary profile must be cut out to make room for the pipe connections.
Mounting wire spring:
- Attach the ceiling clip into the ceiling grid.
- Press the clip over the top of the panel.
- Ensure the ceiling clip is attached between the ceiling grid and the heating panel.
Insulation of Heating Panels
The top of the Atrium H- and Loggia panels are insulated with extruded polystyrene foam. These panels should not be placed in direct sunshine or underneath other heating or ignition sources. Sparks and smoke must be avoided. Keep areas dry and ventilated, and take precautions against static electricity.
The foamed plastic is manufactured without the addition of CFC or HCFC gas (Freons).
