Intended Use
Ideal for applications requiring attractive, quick-installation exit signs and low energy consumption. Certain airborne contaminants can diminish the integrity of acrylic and/or polycarbonate. Refer to Acrylic-Polycarbonate Compatibility table for suitable uses.
Construction
Engineering-grade thermoplastic housing: impact-resistant, scratch-resistant, and corrosion-proof. UL94V-0 flame rating. UV-stable resin resists discoloration from natural and man-made light sources.
Versatile Configuration
4 SKUs in 1: LQM series offers Red/Green color selection and AC/Battery Back-Up (EL) switch for simplified ordering. LQM EL HO models include Nickel Cadmium battery with remote capacity.
Color Finishes
Available in white housing with white faceplate, black housing with black faceplate, or black housing with brushed silver faceplate for an upgraded aesthetic.
Faceplate & Installation
Ships with an extra faceplate to convert from single to double face exit sign. Directional chevrons are easily removable and reinsertable. Features a quick mount canopy for faster installation with no visible hardware from the floor.
Lettering & Visibility
Letters are 6 inches high with a 3/4 inch stroke, providing a 100 ft. viewing distance rating (based on UL924 standards).
Optics & Battery Backup
LEDs operate in normal (AC input) and emergency (Battery Back-up) mode for a minimum of 90 minutes. Typical LED lamp life is over 5 years (based on 24/7 operation).
Electrical Specifications
MULTI VOLT 120-277VAC, 50/60hz. LQM models feature an internal AC/Battery Back-Up (EL) switch to select AC mode (generator/inverter power) or Battery mode for 90-minute capacity (Patent Pending). Signs ship standard in AC mode with battery included.
- LQM: 1.2V, 900mAH Ni-Cad Battery
- LQM EL HO: Sealed, maintenance-free nickel-cadmium battery providing 90-minute capacity for emergency lamps. 3.6V, 1200mAH Ni-Cad Battery, providing 2.4W of Remote Capacity.
Installation Flexibility
Mounting canopy allows for top, back, or end mounting. Back mount is standard for single face. Canopy uses a cam locking pin for secure mounting with no visible hardware. Ships as a single-sided exit with additional face plate and red/green color panels for easy conversion to double face.

UL damp location listed (50°F - 104°F / 10°C - 40°C). Meets UL924, NFPA 101 (current Life Safety Code), NEC, California Energy Commission Title 20 section 1605.3 (W)(4), and OSHA illumination standards. Meets FCC Title 47, Part 15, Subpart B requirements. NOM certified.
