MOES ZM-104-M ZigBee Smart Switch Module: Installation and User Manual

Product Introduction

The MOES ZM-104-M is a ZigBee smart switch module designed for remote control of home electrical devices via a Wi-Fi network. It integrates with smart home systems and can be controlled through mobile apps or smart speakers, offering convenient control of various appliances.

• ⚠️ Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local regulations.

• ⚠️ Keep the device away from water, damp, or hot environments.
• ⚠️ Install away from strong signal sources (e.g., microwave ovens) that may cause signal interruption.
• ⚠️ Avoid obstruction by concrete walls or metallic materials, which can reduce effective operating range.
• ⚠️ Do NOT attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the device.

Installation Instructions

Always ensure power is disconnected before proceeding.

Step 1: Turn Off Power

Disconnect the circuit breaker and use an electrical tester to verify that power is off. Ensure the circuit breaker remains off during wiring.

Step 2: Remove the Old Switch

Carefully remove the existing switch from the wall.

Step 3: Identify Wires

Identify the Line (L) and Load wires. Note that wire colors may vary. It is recommended to test all connected wires with an electrical tester to confirm no voltage is present. You might need to turn off multiple circuit breakers.

Wiring Diagrams

The module requires connections for Line (L), Neutral (N), and the Load (Light). The specific wiring depends on the setup:

1. With a 1-Gang Switch

Connect L and N to the module. Connect the switch (rocker or reset type) to the module's input terminals (e.g., S1, L1) and the light to the output terminals.

2. With Two 2/3-Way Switches

Connect L and N to the module. The module facilitates control of a single light by two or more switches.

3. With Wall Socket

Connect L and N to the module, then connect the module to a wall socket.

Note: The module dimensions are 40x40x18 mm.

Download the MOES App

Download the "MOES" application from your device's app store or by scanning the provided QR code ? [Scan QR Code]. The MOES app offers enhanced compatibility and features compared to Tuya Smart/Smart Life apps, including Siri integration, widgets, and scene recommendations.

Steps for Connecting the App to the Device

Ensure the device is within the effective signal range of your ZigBee gateway for a successful connection.

Method One: Scan QR Code

Scan the QR code to configure the network guide. Ensure your MOES App is successfully connected to a Zigbee gateway.

Method Two: Pairing

Follow the app's instructions to add the device. This typically involves putting the module into pairing mode (e.g., by pressing the reset button on the module for a long time until it beeps rapidly).

Note: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable (2.4GHz) and your smartphone is close to the module during configuration.

Multi-control Association

To control a single light with multiple switches:

1. Add another smart switch to the same MOES App.
2. In the app, select the main switch and navigate to "Multi-Control Association".
3. Add the secondary switch by tapping the "+" icon.
4. Select the desired switch and button to associate.

Note: If your switch requires a neutral wire, only L and N are needed for the new switch. If it does not require a neutral wire, connect L and the light.

How to Reset / Pair Wi-Fi Code

To reset or enter pairing mode:

• For Switch Module: Press and hold the reset button on the module until it beeps continuously and rapidly.
• For Rocker Light Switch: Press the switch button 20 times (ON/OFF cycle 10 times) until it beeps continuously and rapidly.
• For Reset Switch: Press the switch button 10 times until it beeps continuously and rapidly.

Voice Control
