Getting Started

This guide will walk you through the initial setup of your Imou Ranger Dual Security Camera.

Step 1: Power On the Camera

Connect the camera to a power source. You can choose between a wireless or wired network connection as shown in Part 1 of the diagrams.

Step 2: Get the Imou Life App

Scan the QR code provided (Part 2) or search for "Imou Life" in your app store to download and install the application. Create an account and log in.

Step 3: Set Up the Camera

Use the Imou Life app to scan the QR code located on the camera's body or on the cover of this guide. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process (Part 3).

Step 4: Install the Camera

Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support at least three times the weight of the camera. For detailed installation instructions, please refer to Part 4.

Mounting Considerations:

Mounting surface strength: Must support 3x camera weight.
Rotation: The camera may support 180° rotation and 0-360° pan.
Screw size: Approximately Φ 5.5-6.0 mm.

LED Status Indicators

Understanding the LED indicators will help you monitor the camera's status:

Resetting the Camera

If you need to reset the camera, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. The LED will turn solid red when the camera begins booting.
