First Steps
- Rinse the water tank: Rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh potable water.
- Place a container: Place a cup or mug under the coffee outlet.
- Turn on your machine: Press the power button. The machine will heat up.
- Prime the machine: Press the Lungo button three times to rinse the internal system.
Coffee Preparation

Descaling
Regular descaling is essential for maintaining your machine's performance and longevity. Follow these steps:
- Eject capsule: Remove any capsule from the machine.
- Empty capsules and water: Empty the used capsule container and the drip tray.
- Add water + Nespresso descaling agent: Fill the water tank with 1L of water and add the Nespresso descaling solution.
- Place a container: Place a large container (at least 1L capacity) under the coffee outlet.
- Enter descaling mode: Turn on the machine and press and hold the Lungo button for at least 3 seconds until the indicator lights blink. Then, press the Lungo button to start the descaling cycle.
- Start descaling: The machine will run the descaling solution through the system.
- Refill and descale again: Once the first cycle is complete, empty the container, refill the water tank with fresh water, and repeat the descaling process (steps 3-6) to rinse the machine.
- Rinse water tank, fill with fresh potable water and press Lungo: After descaling, rinse the water tank thoroughly and refill it with fresh potable water. Then, press the Lungo button to exit the descaling mode.
- Repeat step 8: Perform step 8 again to ensure all descaling solution is flushed out.
- Exit descaling mode: The machine will automatically exit descaling mode after the process is complete.
