Nespresso Descaling Kit

Safety Measures

Important Precautions

• Descaler: can damage surfaces. Remove spilled or leaked product immediately.
• Do not use vinegar.
• Never completely fill the water tank during the descaling process.
• After descaling: clean the machine with a damp cloth.

Attention

Read the usage precautions on the descaler packaging carefully. The descaling solution can be harmful. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and appliance surfaces. Do not use vinegar: it can damage the appliance. For the descaling kit, contact Nespresso Club.

U/UMILK

Step 1: Empty the capsule container and drip tray.

Step 2: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (1 sachet) + 0.5 liters of water.

Step 3: Place a 0.6 L container under the dispensing spout.

Step 4-5: Start the machine by pressing the long coffee button. The descaling indicator light turns on.

Step 6: To enter descaling mode, press the three coffee buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Step 7: The three coffee buttons flash; press the long coffee button to start descaling.

Step 8: Refill the tank entirely with the previously dispensed descaling solution.

Step 9: Press the long coffee button to repeat the descaling process.

Step 10-11-12: Rinse all components thoroughly, fill the tank with potable water, and repeat the procedure.

Step 13: Exit descaling mode by pressing the coffee buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

INISSIA/CITIZ REFRESH/CITIZ&MILK REFRESH/ESSENZA AUTOMATICA

Step 1: Eject the capsule and lower the closing handle.

Step 2: Empty the capsule container and drip tray.

Step 3: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (1 sachet) + 0.5 liters of water.

Step 4: Place a 1L capacity container under the machine.

Step 5: Press the two coffee buttons simultaneously (5 sec.) to start descaling.

Step 6-7: Press any button to start dispensing.

Step 8-9: Refill the tank with the previously dispensed descaling solution. Press any button to repeat the descaling process.

Step 10: Clean the tank and drip tray.

Step 11-12: Fill the tank with potable water and repeat the procedure.

Step 13-14: Press and hold the coffee buttons (3 sec.) to exit descaling mode.

Step 15: Remove, empty, and clean the capsule container, tank, and drip tray.

CITIZ 110/CITIZ&MILK/CITIZ&CO /ESSENZA (MANUALE/ECO)/CUBE/PIXIE

Step 1-2: Eject the capsule and/or check if the capsule is removed, empty the capsule collection tray.

Step 3: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (1 sachet) + 0.5 liters of water.

Step 4: Place a 1L container under the spout.

Step 5: Turn on the machine by pressing the power button.

Step 6: Press both coffee buttons simultaneously (3 sec.) to enter descaling mode.

Step 7-8: Press any button to start the descaling process.

Step 9: Refill the tank with the previously dispensed descaling solution.

Step 10: Press any button to repeat the descaling process.

Step 12-13: Fill the tank with potable water and repeat the procedure.

Step 14: Press the long coffee button to repeat the process.

Step 15: Press and hold the coffee buttons (3 sec.) to exit descaling mode.

Step 16: Remove, empty, and clean the capsule container, tank, and drip tray.

LATTISSIMA +

Step 1-2: Descale the machine when the Cappuccino button lights up orange.

Step 3: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (1 sachet) + 0.5 liters of water.

Step 4: Extract the descaling tube and connect it to the steam connector.

Step 5: The machine enters descaling mode; the Cappuccino button lights up.

Step 6: Place a 1 L container under the dispensing spout.

Step 7-8: Start the descaling procedure by pressing the Cappuccino button.

Step 9-10: Fill the tank with potable water and repeat the procedure.

Step 11: Press the Cappuccino button to repeat the process.

Step 12: Once the descaling process is finished, the machine turns off automatically.

Step 13-14: Remove the descaling tube and store it in its designated compartment. Remove, empty, and clean the capsule container, tank, and drip tray.

LATTISSIMA

Step 1-2: Turn on the machine; the power indicator lights up.

Step 3-4: Connect the descaling tube to the steam connector, empty and clean the tank.

Step 5: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (1 sachet) + 0.5 liters of water.

Step 6: Place two 600ml containers under the coffee dispenser and the descaling tube.

Step 7: Press the Cappuccino and Long Coffee buttons simultaneously to enter descaling mode.

Step 8-9: Press the Cappuccino button to start descaling.

Step 10-11-12: Fill the tank with potable water and repeat the procedure.

Step 13-14: Press the Cappuccino button to repeat the process.

Step 15: Remove, empty, and clean the capsule container, tank, and drip tray.

LATTISSIMA PREMIUM

Step 1-2: Turn on the machine; the descaling indicator light illuminates.

Step 3-4: Connect the descaling tube to the steam connector, empty and clean the tank.

Step 5: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (1 sachet) + 0.5 liters of water.

Step 6: Place two 600ml containers under the coffee dispenser and the cappuccinatore.

Step 7: Press the Cappuccino and Long Coffee buttons simultaneously to enter descaling mode.

Step 8-9: Press the Cappuccino button to start descaling.

Step 10-11-12: Fill the tank with potable water and repeat the procedure.

Step 13-14: Press the Cappuccino button to repeat the process.

Step 15: Remove, empty, and clean the capsule container, tank, and drip tray.

MAESTRIA

Step 1-2: Turn off the machine and set the Espresso button to 4 and the Lungo button to 1.

Step 3-4: Open and close the lever to eject the capsule and empty the drip tray and tank.

Step 5-6: Turn on the machine; the descaling LED illuminates.

Step 7: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (2 sachets) + 1.4 liters of water.

Step 8-9: Place a container (min 1500 ml) under the coffee dispenser and the steam spout.

Step 10: Press the long coffee button to start descaling.

Step 11: Do not touch the machine during operation.

Step 12: The constant light turning off will indicate the end of descaling.

Step 13-14-15: Fill the tank with potable water and repeat the procedure.

Step 16-17: Press the long coffee button to repeat the process, which will end when the three lights turn off.

Step 18-19: Turn off the machine. Remove, empty, and clean the capsule container, tank, and drip tray.

GRAN MAESTRIA

Step 1-2: Turn off the machine and set the Espresso button to 4 and the Lungo button to 1.

Step 3-4-5: Open and close the lever to eject the capsule and empty the drip tray and tank.

Step 5-6: Turn on the machine; the descaling LED illuminates.

Step 7: Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaler (2 sachets) + 1.4 liters of water.

Step 8: Place a container (min 1500 ml) under the coffee dispenser and the steam spout.

Step 9: Press the long coffee button to start descaling.

Step 10: A constant light will indicate the end of descaling.

Step 11-12-13: Fill the tank with potable water and repeat the procedure.

Step 14-15: Press the long coffee button to repeat the process, which will end when the three lights turn off.

Step 16-17: Once descaling is complete, the lights will turn off. Remove, empty, and clean the capsule container, tank, and drip tray.

PRODIGIO/PRODIGIO&MILK

Step 1: Empty the drip tray and the used capsule container.

Step 2: To access descaling mode, ensure the machine is ON, then press and hold the 3 coffee buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds until a confirmation sound.

Step 3: The 3 buttons will start flashing (they will flash until exiting this mode). Information: During the descaling process, the maintenance indicator light will be on.

Step 4: Pour the Nespresso descaling solution into the tank, then refill it with 0.5 L of water.

Step 5: Place a container (minimum volume: 0.8 L) under the coffee dispenser.

Step 6: Ensure the sliding window is closed and press one of the coffee buttons to start the descaling cycle: the pump will start. The machine will turn off automatically when the tank is empty.

Step 7: Refill the water tank with the used descaling agent (already passed through the machine) collected in the container.

Step 8: Empty the drip tray.

Step 9: Press any button to start the second descaling. The machine will turn off automatically when the tank is empty. Carefully empty and rinse the water tank, drip tray, and cup support to remove any residue.

Step 10: Refill the water tank with fresh potable water. Press any button to start the machine rinse. The pump will start. The machine will turn off automatically when the tank is empty. Repeat the operation twice.

Step 11: To exit descaling mode, press and hold the 3 buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds until the confirmation sound. The machine is now ready for use.
