Orbit Hose Faucet Timer 62061-24F

Brand: Orbit

Model: 62061-24F rA

Important Information

When expecting freezing temperatures, timers should be removed from the hose faucet and stored indoors to avoid potential freeze damage.

The integrated filter traps dirt particles, prolonging the life of the timer. Clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn.

Timer Features

The timer features a circular dial with various settings: AUTO, FOR RAIN DELAY, OFF, HOW OFTEN, HOW LONG, START TIME, SET CLOCK. Below the dial are buttons labeled MANUAL/CLEAR and RESET. Above the dial are +/- buttons. Connections are labeled HOSE TAP CONNECTION and OUTLET. A FILTER is shown near the HOSE TAP CONNECTION.

Quick Start: Installing Batteries

Note: Use two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included).

  1. Remove the battery tray from the back of the timer by sliding or pulling it out.
  2. Insert two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries and replace the tray.

Note: Firmly replace the battery tray to ensure water resistance and increase battery life. The tray is fully inserted when it locks in place and does not pull out easily. Used up or dead batteries must be removed from the timer and disposed of properly. Batteries should be removed at the end of the watering season and replaced with new ones at the beginning of the next season. Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display.

  2. Using the +/- buttons, set your watering frequency. Options include every 6 hours, 12 hours, or from 1 to 7 days. (Note: '1' means every day, '2' means every other day, etc.)
  3. Turn the dial to save changes.

Congratulations! Your timer is now programmed. Turn your dial to AUTO to allow your timer to water according to the programmed time, station, duration, and frequency.

Additional Features

Rain Delay

Rain delay allows you to postpone watering for a set period of time. A visual shows 'DELAY' with '24 HRS' prominently displayed, indicating the rain delay duration.

To access the rain delay:

  1. With the dial on AUTO, press the + button to select a delay of 24 hrs, 48 hrs, or 72 hrs.
  2. The screen will flash between the clock and hours remaining before the programmed cycle resumes.
  3. To remove rain delay, turn the dial to OFF and then back to AUTO.

Manual/Hand Watering

This feature allows you to water without interrupting your set schedule. A visual shows 'MANUAL' with '60 MINUTES' prominently displayed, indicating the manual watering duration.

To access this feature:

  1. With the dial on AUTO, press the MANUAL button.
  2. Use the + and - buttons to select watering time, from 1 to 240 minutes.

Note: There may be a slight delay between the time the manual button is pressed and when watering begins.

To stop manual watering, turn the dial to OFF. Turn the dial back to AUTO to resume your programmed watering schedule.

Important Note on Turning Dial to OFF: Turning the dial to the OFF position at any time during the day will reset the timer's internal timing. This will cancel all scheduled watering times for the day until the next programmed START TIME. This means if you turn the dial back to AUTO, the timer will not water until the next day, beginning at your desired programmed START TIME. For example: If you have a 6:00 AM START TIME with HOW OFTEN set to 6-hour intervals, and you turn the dial to OFF at 10:00 AM today, the timer will not water until tomorrow at 6:00 AM. The 12:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 12:00 AM watering times for today will have been cancelled.
