Product Overview
The Mean Well HBGC-300 series is a 300W LED AC/DC driver designed for constant power mode operation. It features a wide input voltage range of 90~305VAC and offers models with various rated current outputs, ranging from 1300mA to 8670mA. With high efficiency up to 94.5% and a fanless design, the HBGC-300 series can operate reliably in case temperatures from -40℃ to +80℃ under free air convection. The robust metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. This series also provides flexible dimming options, including potentiometer adjustment, 3-in-1 dimming (0-10Vdc, 10V PWM signal, resistance), and DALI-2 dimming, catering to diverse LED lighting system requirements.

Dimming Operation
The HBGC-300 series supports multiple dimming methods for the AB-Type models:
3 in 1 Dimming Function (for AB-Type)
Output constant current level can be adjusted by applying one of the three methodologies between DIM+ and DIM-:
- 0~10VDC
- 10V PWM signal (frequency range 100Hz~3KHz)
- Resistance
Note:
- Min. dimming level is approximately 8%. Output current is not defined for 0% < Iout < 8%.
- Output current can drop to 0% when dimming input is approximately 0kΩ, 0Vdc, or 10V PWM signal with 0% duty cycle.
Diagrams illustrating dimming methods:
- Applying additive 0 ~ 10VDC: A diagram shows a connection where DIM+ is connected to the positive terminal of the voltage source and DIM- is connected to the negative terminal. A note indicates not to connect DIM- to Vo-.
- Applying additive 10V PWM signal: A diagram shows a connection where DIM+ is connected to the positive terminal of the PWM signal source and DIM- is connected to the negative terminal. A note indicates not to connect DIM- to Vo-.
- Applying additive resistance: A diagram shows a connection where DIM+ and DIM- are connected across a variable resistor. A note indicates not to connect DIM- to Vo-.
