More Than Water Saving
Warm Tips - Please Read Before Using
- Do not use the water timer when the temperature is below 37°F (3°C). Store the timer indoors to avoid potential freezing damage.
- The filter traps dirt particles, preventing clogging. Clean the filter regularly and replace it if worn.
- For a longer lifespan, use 2 new AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Do not mix new and old alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
- Activate the water timer before first use or after a period of inactivity (Refer to page 6: ACTIVATE THE TIMER BEFORE USE).
- Only use with clean cold water.

The RainPoint ITV205 is a two-zone water timer that allows you to water two different areas from the same faucet. Each zone can be programmed with an independent start time, duration, and frequency.

Product Installation
Installing the Batteries
- Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the timer.
- Insert 2 new AAA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included).
- Put the battery compartment cover back on the timer and press firmly to make sure it is completely sealed.
Note:
- Firmly restore the battery compartment cover to ensure water resistance.
- When the timer is not used for a long time, remove the batteries and dispose of them properly.
- Replace batteries when the low battery indicator ? appears on display.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.
- To ensure a longer lifespan, use 2 new AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Do not mix new and old alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
Installing the Timer
- Turn off the garden faucet.
- Wrap Teflon Tape around the faucet threads.
- Screw the timer to the garden faucet, ensuring the display is as vertical as possible to the ground to prevent rainwater accumulation and leakage into the interior.
- Wrap Teflon Tape around the threads of the timer outlets.
- Screw the garden hoses to the timer outlets.
- Turn on the faucet after programming the timer.
Tips: If the connection between the timer and the faucet or hose is not tight or leaking, wrap more Teflon Tape (thread seal tape) to make them tight.
Please do not use tools; install the timer by hand. When expecting freezing temperatures, timers should be removed from the hose faucet and stored indoors to avoid potential freeze damage.

Activate the Timer Before Use
Please activate the device before using it for the first time or after a period of inactivity.
- Keep the garden faucet turned off.
- Turn the timer dial to "ON".
- Press and hold the "MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to enter Manual Watering Mode.
- Press the "ZONE" button twice to select both Zone 1 and Zone 2. When the screen flashes, immediately press the "OK" button to run manual watering.
- After hearing 2 "click" sounds or waiting for about 5 seconds, the valves in the timer are opened. Turn the dial to "OFF" to close the valves.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for 3-5 times.
- Test: Turn on the faucet a little bit, and then repeat steps 2-5 to check if the water flow is as expected or shuts off correctly.
If the test is successful, the timer valves are normal. Use with confidence! If not, repeat steps 2-5 several times or contact RAINPOINT support immediately.
Note: When testing, keep away from the water timer outlet to avoid being splashed and wet.
Programming the Timer
Step 0: Understanding Zones
This is a two-zone timer allowing you to water two different areas from the same faucet. Each zone can be programmed with an independent start time, duration, and frequency.
Note: Dual zones operating simultaneously have lower water pressure than a single zone because the water pressure is divided between the two zones.
Design the program separately for each ZONE:
- First, set up ZONE 1 following steps 1-4 below. Then turn the dial to "ON" to save the changes.
- Press the "ZONE" button to select ZONE 2, and follow steps 2-4 to set up. Turn the dial to "ON" to save all the plans.
Step 1: Set Clock
Follow these steps to set the current time:
- Turn the dial to "SET CLOCK". Use "+" or "-" buttons to select 24-hour or 12-hour format and press "OK" to confirm.
- Use "+" or "-" buttons to set the current exact time. If using the 12-hour format, note the AM and PM.
- Use the "OK" button to confirm and switch between hours or minutes.
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes in this STEP and proceed to the next STEP.
TIPS: After setting, turn the dial to save changes instead of pressing the "OK" button. Pressing "OK" after setting will return to the previous setting.
Step 2: Start Time
Set the desired start time for watering:
- Turn the dial to "START TIME".
- Use "+" and "-" buttons to set your start time.
- Use the "OK" button to switch between Hours or Minutes.
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes in this STEP and proceed to the next STEP.
TIPS: After setting, turn the dial to save changes instead of pressing the "OK" button. Pressing "OK" after setting will return to the previous setting.
Step 3: How Long
Set the watering duration:
- Turn the dial to "HOW LONG".
- Use "+" and "-" buttons to select watering duration, from 1 minute to 3 hours 59 minutes.
- Use the "OK" button to switch between Hours or Minutes.
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes in this STEP and proceed to the next STEP.
TIPS: After setting, turn the dial to save changes instead of pressing the "OK" button. Pressing "OK" after setting will return to the previous setting.
Step 4: How Often
Set the watering frequency:
- Turn the dial to "HOW OFTEN".
- Use "+" and "-" buttons to set your watering frequency. You can choose to water every 1 to 12 hours, or every 1 to 7 days. (NOTE: 1 = every day, 2 = every other day, etc.)
- Turn the dial clockwise to save the changes in this STEP and proceed to the next STEP.
Examples of watering frequency:

Step 5: Automatic Watering
Once programmed, the timer will water automatically:
- Turn the dial to "ON".
- The LCD screen will display the current time and the next watering start time for Zone 1, then the current time and the next watering start time for Zone 2.
CONGRATULATIONS! Your timer has now been programmed successfully! It will automatically start watering based on the programmed start time, duration, and frequency. You can now keep the faucet open and trust the timer to water!
Additional Functions
Rain Delay Mode
Rain delay allows you to postpone watering on both zones for a set period of time without interrupting your set watering schedule. To access rain delay, follow these steps:
- When the dial is in the "ON" position, press and hold the "DELAY" button for 3-5 seconds to enter the delay mode.
- In Delay Mode, "24H" will flash on the screen. Press "+" and "-" to select the delay period (24H, 48H, or 72H).
- Press the "OK" button to run the delay function. The screen will show a countdown of the remaining delay.
- To cancel rain delay, hold the "DELAY" button for 3-5 seconds again to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Note: Remember to press the "OK" button after selecting the rain delay time to start the program. Otherwise, the setting will automatically exit after the screen flashes for 3-5 seconds.
Manual/Hand Watering
This function allows you to manually water without interrupting your set watering schedule. Follow these steps:
- Turn the dial to "ON".
- Press and hold the "MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to enter Manual Watering Mode.
- Press the "ZONE" button to select the zone you want to use (Zone 1 only, Zone 2 only, or Zone 1 and Zone 2).
- Use the "+" or "-" button to adjust the manual watering time from 1 minute to 8 hours. The default watering time is 10 minutes. Press and hold the "+" or "-" button to quickly increase or decrease the time.
- Press the "OK" button immediately when the screen flashes to confirm and start manual watering. The screen will show a pattern and the remaining time for manual watering.
- To stop manual watering, hold the "MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to exit manual watering mode and restore the original watering program. Alternatively, turn the dial to "OFF" to stop manual watering, then turn the dial back to "ON" to restore the original program.
NOTE: Remember to press the "OK" button after setting the manual watering time to start manual watering. Otherwise, the setting will automatically exit after the screen flashes for 3-5 seconds.
Use Only One of the Zones
To use only ZONE 1 and close ZONE 2:
- Turn the dial to "START TIME" and press "ZONE" to select ZONE 2.
- Press the "+" or "-" button to adjust the Hour until the screen displays "OFF".
- Turn the dial to "ON" to save the changes. This means ZONE 2 is off, and you can program ZONE 1 as needed. The timer will then only run ZONE 1.
If you want to use only ZONE 2 and close ZONE 1, the same applies.
Off Mode
- If you wish to stop all watering plans for an extended period, turn the dial to "OFF". Your settings are saved.
- The timer will not water automatically in OFF mode. The screen will display the word "OFF" in large letters.
- To start automatic watering again, turn the dial back to "ON" to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Battery Status
Battery status will be displayed as follows:
- Full: [Full battery icon]
- LOW Power: [Low battery icon]
Note: When the low battery indicator appears, the valve will close automatically to avoid leakage. Please replace the battery to recover.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Possible Cause | Advice |

Cleaning Your Timer
After a period of use, impurities or dirt in the water may accumulate in the timer. Clean the timer regularly to ensure proper operation.
Follow these steps:
- Turn off the garden faucet and remove the timer. Check the filter at the water inlet for accumulated impurities.
- If the filter is dirty, take it out and rinse it with running water. [Diagram of filter removal and rinsing]
- Turn on the Manual Watering Mode to open the valve and check if the timer's water pipe is blocked. If blocked, clean gently with a small cleaning brush. [Diagram of cleaning the timer's internal components]
Warnings
- For outdoor use only. Placing the timer in sheltered outdoors will prolong its lifetime.
- To avoid damage, tighten without using tools.
- The filter should be placed horizontally in the water inlet to prevent leakage.
- When low power, replace batteries to avoid interruption of normal operation. Ensure the battery tray is dry when replacing batteries.
- When the timer is not in use, remove the batteries and store indoors.
- Do not use the timer above 120°F (50°C) or below 38°F (3°C).
- Do not subject the product to extreme force and shock.
- Severe electrical shock could result if water sprays into outlets or sources of electrical current. Never immerse the product in water.
This product is MADE IN CHINA and conforms to the national standards of the United States, Britain, Germany, and France. Use this product correctly. If discarding, dispose of it according to national requirements. Protect the environment.

Note: When performing the test, please keep away from the timer's water outlet to avoid splashing and getting wet.

Paso 5: Riego Automático (Automatic Watering)
- Turn the dial to "ON".
- The LCD screen will display the current time and the next watering start time in Zone 1, and then display the current time and the next watering start time in Zone 2.
ENHORABUENA! (CONGRATULATIONS!) Your timer has now been programmed successfully! Irrigation will start automatically based on the programmed start time, duration, and frequency. You can now keep the faucet open and trust the water timer!
Funciones Adicionales (Additional Functions)
Modo Retraso por Lluvia (Rain Delay Mode)
Rain delay allows you to postpone watering in both zones for a set period of time without interrupting the configured watering program. To access rain delay, follow the steps below.
- When the dial is in the "ON" position, press and hold the "DELAY" button for 3-5 seconds to enter the delay mode.
- In Delay Mode, you will find the "24H" option flashing on the screen. Press "+" and "-" to select the delay period of 24H, 48H, and 72H.
- Press the "OK" button to execute the delay function, then the screen will show a countdown of the remaining delay.
- To cancel rain delay, press the "DELAY" button for 3-5 seconds again to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Note: Please remember to press the "OK" button after selecting the rain delay time to start the rain delay program. Otherwise, the device will automatically exit the rain delay configuration after the screen flashes for 3-5 seconds.
Riego Manual/A Mano (Manual/Hand Watering)
This function allows you to manually water without interrupting your set watering schedule. To access this function, follow the steps below.
- Turn the dial to "ON".
- Press and hold the "MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to enter Manual Watering Mode.
- Press the "ZONE" button to select the zone you want to water (Solo Zona 1, Solo Zona 2, Zona 1 y Zona 2).
- Use the "+" or "-" button to adjust the manual watering time from 1 minute to 8 hours. The default watering time is 10 minutes. Press and hold the "+" or "-" button to quickly increase or decrease the time.
- Press the "OK" button immediately when the screen flashes to confirm and start manual watering. The screen will show the pattern and the remaining time for manual watering.
- To stop manual watering, hold the "MANUAL" button for 3-5 seconds to exit manual watering mode and restore the original watering program. (Or turn the dial to "OFF" to stop manual watering, and then turn the dial to "ON" again to restore the original watering program.)
NOTE: Please remember to press the "OK" button after configuring the time to start manual watering. Otherwise, the device will automatically exit the manual watering configuration after the screen flashes for 3-5 seconds.
Uso de una Sola Zona (Using Only One Zone)
If you want to use only ZONE 1 and close ZONE 2, please configure as follows:
- Turn the dial to "START TIME" and press "ZONE" to select ZONE 2.
- Press the "+" or "-" button to adjust the Hour until the screen displays "OFF".
- Turn the dial to "ON" to save the changes. This means ZONE 2 is off, and you can select ZONE 1 to program the schedule as needed, and the timer will function only in ZONE 1.
If you only want to use ZONE 2 and close ZONE 1, the same applies.
Modo OFF (OFF Mode)
- If you wish to stop all watering plans for a prolonged period, turn the dial to "OFF". (Your settings are saved)
- The timer will not activate automatically when in OFF mode. (The screen will display the word OFF in large letters)
- To start automatic watering again, turn the dial back to "ON" to resume your programmed watering schedule.
Estado de la Batería (Battery Status)
The battery status will be displayed as follows:
- Llena (Full): [Full battery icon]
- Baja (Low): [Low battery icon]
Note: When the low battery indicator appears, the valve will automatically close to prevent leaks. Please replace the battery to resume valve operation.

Limpiando su Temporizador (Cleaning Your Timer)
After a period of use, impurities and dirt in the water can accumulate in the timer. Therefore, the timer should be cleaned regularly to ensure correct operation.
Please follow these steps to clean the timer:
- Close the garden faucet and remove the timer. Check if the filter at the water inlet of the timer has accumulated impurities.
- If the filter is dirty, please take it out of the timer and rinse it with running water. [Diagram of filter removal and rinsing]
- Turn on the Manual Watering Mode of the timer to open the valve and check if the timer's water pipe is blocked. If it is blocked, please clean it gently with a small cleaning brush. [Diagram of cleaning the timer's internal components]

- For outdoor use only. Placing the timer in a sheltered exterior will prolong its lifespan.
- To avoid damage, please tighten without using tools.
- The filter should be placed horizontally in the water inlet to prevent leaks.
- When power is low, please replace the batteries to avoid interruption of normal operation; when replacing batteries, please ensure that the battery tray is dry.
- When the timer is not in use, please remove the batteries and store them indoors.
- Do not use the timer at temperatures above 120°F (50°C) or below 38°F (3°C).
- Do not subject the product to extreme force or impacts.
