Precautions
Riding Precautions
- Accelerate slowly when starting. Assist with pedals when climbing to prolong battery and motor life.
- The controller has overload protection; it will cut off power when overloaded and automatically turn on when normal.
- Maximum load capacity is 120kg (including rider). Do not overload.
- When riding on complex roads, try to ride and activate the shock absorption function.
Parking Precautions
- Turn off the power switch before parking to prevent accidental starts from speed handle rotation.
- Turn off the power supply, lock the battery, and remove the key when parking.
- For safety and optimal condition, maintain the bike regularly.
Battery Storage
- Store the battery at ambient temperature (20-25°C). Do not store above 50°C, as it causes irreversible capacity loss.
- If the bicycle is unused for a long time, remove and store the battery separately. Maintain and charge it regularly to prevent it from running out and causing irreversible damage.
- The most suitable storage capacity is 50%. Long-term storage below 10% or above 90% leads to irreversible capacity attenuation.
Precautions for Battery Use
- Charging time: 20AH battery approx. 6-7 hours; 30AH battery approx. 9-12 hours. Green indicator means fully charged.
- Switch off the power connected to the charger and remove it. Avoid charging for extended periods (e.g., over 8 hours for 20AH, over 12 hours for 30AH).
- Do not cover the charger or battery during charging to prevent overheating and danger.
- It is recommended to start charging when the battery charge is less than 20%.
- For long-term parking, store the battery at 50% charge and charge it once every two months.
- If a peculiar smell is detected during charging, stop immediately and send for maintenance.
- Do not touch the battery or charger during charging. Keep children away from the charger.
- Keep the charger/battery away from flammable materials. Do not charge near babies or children. Do not charge unattended for long periods. For safety, avoid charging in the early morning.
- Do not use other brands of chargers. Chargers contain high-voltage circuits; do not disassemble them without authorization.
Pattern Description (Riding Modes)
This section describes the different riding modes:
Mode 1: Electric Drive
The key is turned on, the instrument is activated, and the switch is twisted. The electric bicycle is driven purely by electricity.
Mode 2: Electric Auxiliary Mode
The key is turned on, and the instrument is activated. This mode starts electric auxiliary power, driven by both manpower and electric power.
Mode 3: Manpower Drive
Riding the electric bicycle is driven purely by manpower.
* In pedal assist mode, assistance is triggered when the pedal is pressed forward and stops when the pedal stops. Braking automatically disengages the power assist system. Power assist also turns off when the e-bike reaches the selected gear's maximum speed.
Motor Description
When the electric bicycle starts, the drive motor draws a large input current, which may cause a certain noise as it overcomes resistance to reach speed. This noise is from the friction between current torque and magnetic force and is a normal phenomenon. The noise is more obvious when the starting current is higher, but it does not affect the use of the electric bicycle.
Note: Accelerate slowly when starting to reduce the starting current and motor noise, which also benefits battery life.
Warning Matters
- Do not put the battery into fire.
- Do not overheat the battery.
- Do not use other brand chargers; use the specified charger.
- Do not disassemble or modify the battery.
- Do not connect positive and negative electrodes or touch terminals with metal objects.
- Do not subject the charger to shocks (e.g., dropping).
- Keep the charger away from water.
- Avoid prolonged skin contact with the charger during charging, as its temperature may reach 40°C-60°C (104°F-140°F), potentially causing skin burns.
- Do not cover the charger with objects or place objects on it to prevent overheating and fire.
- Do not turn the pedal while the battery is installed and the bike is charging. Avoid winding the power cord on the pedal or crank, which could damage the plug, cause electric shock, or fire.
Energy Consumption Description
- Fully charge the battery before long-distance travel. Rugged roads and hilly terrain consume more energy.
- Carrying more weight increases energy consumption.
- Low temperatures reduce the cruising range.
- When the battery is turned off, the electric bike functions as a regular bicycle.
