First Time Setup

1. Auto-Pairing Earbuds

A. Take the earbuds out of the charging case and remove the stickers ?️.

B. Press and hold each earbud for 3+ seconds ⏳. A flashing blue and white light ? on one earbud indicates you can pair with your device.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's Settings ⚙️ Bluetooth ?. Two beeps ? and solid white indicator lights ? indicate the connection is established ✔️.

Adding New / Other Bluetooth Devices:

Turn Bluetooth OFF on previously connected devices. Turn Bluetooth ON on the new device. Take the earbuds out of the case. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Connect by selecting "JLab Epic Air ANC" in the new device's settings.

Download the App

Customize Epic Air ANC features and update to the latest software. Download the JLab Air ANC app from the Apple ? App Store or Google ▶️ Play Store.

Controls

Left Sensor

Volume Down ?: Single tap
Voice Assistant ?️ (Siri/Google): Double tap
Be Aware / ANC ON / ANC OFF ??: Press and hold for 1+ seconds
EQ Change ?️: Triple tap

Right Sensor

Volume Up ?: Single tap
Play / Pause ▶️⏸️: Double tap
Next Track ⏭️: Press and hold for 1+ seconds
EQ Change ?️: Triple tap

Calls

Answer: Single tap on left or right earbud.
Hang Up: Double tap on left or right earbud.
Reject Incoming Call: Double tap and hold for 1+ seconds on left or right earbud.

Music / Movie Mode:

Press and hold both touch sensors simultaneously for 3+ seconds.

Power Off Without Charging Case:

Turn off Bluetooth in device settings. The earbuds will then turn off automatically after 3 minutes.

Sound Prompts

Power On: Chime
Bluetooth Pairing: "Ready to Pair". Epic Air ANC is ready to pair with your Bluetooth device.
Be Aware ON / OFF: 1 beep / 2 beeps
ANC ON / OFF: Chime
Bluetooth Connected: 2 beeps. The earbud is connected to the device.
Battery Full: "Battery Full" (100-80 %)
Battery Medium: "Battery Medium" (80-20 %)
Battery Low: "Battery Low" (Below 20 %). When 10% power remains, "Low Battery" will be announced once.
Power Off: Chime

EQ Modes

Tap either earbud three times for different EQ settings. Sound prompts will announce the EQ settings (Epic Air ANC cycles through four EQ settings). Customize each EQ setting by downloading the JLab Air ANC app from the Apple ? App Store or Google ▶️ Play Store.

JLab Signature: JLab C3™ signature sound with boosted vocals and bass.
Balanced: Steady sound without added sound effects.
Bass Boost: Enhanced bass and sub-bass.
Custom: Custom equalizer setting (customize by downloading the JLab Air ANC app).

Automatic Power On / Off

1. The earbuds turn OFF and start charging when placed in the charging case. Blue indicator lights ? indicate the earbuds are charging and will turn off when charging is complete.

2. The earbuds automatically turn ON and connect when removed from the charging case.

Charging

Wired Charging

Connect the Epic Air ANC to a computer or a USB 5V 1A (or lower) adapter. LED lights flash white ? during charging and stay solid when charging is complete.

Wireless Charging

Place the charging case on a wireless charging pad. LED lights flash white ? during charging and stay solid when charging is complete.

Fitment

Try the earbuds to find the best fit and seal. Insert into your ear canal and gently twist to find the best fit.

Troubleshooting

No Sound in One Earbud or Earbud Connection Lost (Manual Reset)

Go to your device's Settings ⚙️ Bluetooth ? and forget JLab Epic Air ANC. See A.
Place earbuds in the charging case and tap the touch sensor on ONE earbud 7 times quickly ?. The blue light will flash 3 times. See C.
Do the same for the other earbud. Tap the touch sensor 7 times quickly ?. The blue light will flash 3 times. See C.
Take both earbuds out of the charging case. Wait until one shows a solid white light ? and the other flashes blue/white. You can now pair with Bluetooth ?.

Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting

Go to your device's Settings ⚙️ Bluetooth ? and forget JLab Epic Air ANC. See A.
Turn Bluetooth OFF and then ON. See B.
Take the earbuds out of the case. Wait until one shows a solid white light ? and the other flashes blue/white.
Reconnect by selecting "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's settings.

Tips & Warnings

Tips

The left or right earbud can be used to listen to music and take calls independently. Just take one earbud out of the case and connect.
Only ONE Bluetooth device can be paired at a time. Disable Bluetooth on devices you do not wish to pair, and enable Bluetooth on the device you want to connect.
Dry the earbuds thoroughly before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage to the case.

Warning

Dry the earbuds thoroughly before placing them in the charging case. If the earbuds are wet ?, the charging case will be damaged. The warranty is void if the charging case shows signs of water/sweat damage ⚠️.

Cautions

Avoid extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Do not drop or squeeze the earbuds.
Earwax can accumulate on the earbud tips, which can degrade sound quality. Carefully remove earwax with a cotton swab or other small tool to improve sound quality.
If you feel discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or stop using the earbuds temporarily.
If you experience discomfort every time you use this product, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
We recommend treating your earbuds like your favorite sunglasses and keeping them in a safe place when not in use.
