Installation Instructions
The Hunter Wall Control requires a compatible receiver. Follow receiver installation instructions first.
For multiple remote-controlled fans on the same circuit, additional steps may be needed to prevent interference. Visit www.HunterFan.com/FAQs for details.
Step 1: Turn Off Power
Before installation, use the [pull chains] to set the fan speed to HIGH and the light to ON. Ensure power is OFF at the outlet box and wall switch location. [WARNING] Disconnect power by turning off circuit breakers. All wiring must comply with national and local electrical codes (ANSI/NFPA 70). Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
Step 2: Install Battery
Slide the [battery compartment door] up to access the compartment. Replace used batteries with two AA batteries when needed.
Step 3: Install Wall Control
Install the longer [screws] through the slots in the wall control into the switch box screw holes.
Step 4: Wire Wall Control
Using [wire connectors], connect each black wire from the wall control to a black wire from the switch box. Connect the green with yellow stripe wire to the grounding wire from the switch box. If two white wires are present in the switch box, connect them to each other if not already connected.
Step 5: Install Wall Plate
Install the shorter [screws] through the wall control plate and into the wall control screw holes.
Step 6: Turn On Power
[IMPORTANT] Use the fan's pull-chain switch to set the fan speed to the HIGH position before operation. Turn power ON.
Step 7: Pair Wall Control
