Cudy WR1500 Quick Installation Guide
Getting Started
Follow these steps to set up your Cudy router.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the router and wait for it to boot up.
- Connect WAN: Connect the WAN port to your DSL/Cable Modem or the Ethernet wall outlet.
- Connect Device: Connect your device to the router using either A (Wireless) or B (Wired) method.
Connection Methods
A: Wi-Fi Connection
Connect your device to the router's Wi-Fi network. The SSID (network name) and Password are printed on the bottom of the router. Look for network names like 'Cudy-XXXX' and 'Cudy-XXXX-5G'.
Example device connection steps:
- Select the Wi-Fi network (e.g., 'Cudy-XXXX-5G').
- Enter the password (e.g., 'XXXXXXXX').
B: Wired Connection
Turn off the Wi-Fi on your computer. Connect your computer to one of the router's LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.
Setup Process
Open a web browser and navigate to http://cudy.net/
. Follow the on-screen instructions for the quick setup, which typically involves:
- Setting the Operating Mode.
- Choosing your Time Zone.
- Configuring the WAN Interface.
- Setting up the Wireless Interface (SSID and Password).
Once setup is complete, you can enjoy the internet!
LED Indicators
Understanding the LED lights on your router:
- SYS: OFF (No power), Red Flash (Booting), Red (Error), Blue Flash (Working), Blue (Normal Operation)
- WAN: OFF (No connection), Red (Connection failed), Blue (Connected)
- LAN: OFF (No device connected), Blue (Device connected)
- Wi-Fi: OFF (Wi-Fi disabled), Blue (Wi-Fi enabled)
