Cudy WR1500 AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 Router Quick Installation Guide
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your Cudy WR1500 router.
Getting Started
Follow these steps to connect and set up your Cudy router.

Step 1: Prepare the Modem
Turn off your modem. If your modem has a battery, remove it.

Step 2: Connect to the Modem
Connect the WAN port of your Cudy router to your ISP modem using an Ethernet cable.

Step 3: Power On the Modem
Turn on the modem and wait approximately 2 minutes for it to restart completely.

Step 4: Power On the Router
Connect the power adapter to the router. Wait for the 'Power' system indicator light to turn solid on.

Step 5: Connect Your Device
You can connect your device to the router using either Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet connection.
- A. Wi-Fi Connection: Connect your device to the router's Wi-Fi network. The network name (SSID) and password are printed on the bottom of the router. Look for a network name similar to 'Cudy-XXXX-5G'.
- B. Wired Connection: Turn off the Wi-Fi on your computer. Connect your computer to one of the router's LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.

Step 6: Set Up the Router
Open a web browser on your connected device and navigate to
http://cudy.net/
. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. This typically involves selecting an operating mode, setting the time zone, configuring the WAN interface, and setting up the wireless interface (SSID and password).The setup wizard will guide you through the process, which may include:
- Operation Mode: Choose between Wireless Router, Wireless Access Point, etc.
- Time Zone: Select your local time zone and optionally enable automatic time synchronization.
- WAN Interface Setup: Configure your internet connection type if needed.
- Wireless Interface Setup: Set your 5G and 2.4G Wi-Fi network names (SSID) and passwords.
After completing the setup, a summary screen will display your configuration. Click 'Save & Apply' to finalize the settings. The router will reboot to apply the changes.
LED Indicators and Buttons
Understanding the status lights and buttons on your router:
- SYS LED: Indicates the system status. OFF: No power. Red Flash: Booting. Red: System error. Blue Flash: Working normally. Blue: WPS pairing.
- WPS Button: Used for Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
- RESET Button: Resets the router to factory default settings.
