Diagram Description
The diagram illustrates the Tow-Trust THY13VK towbar assembly for the Hyundai i30 SW / Kia C'eed SW (2012 onwards). It shows the main crossmember (Item A), which is the central horizontal bar of the towbar. This crossmember connects to the vehicle's chassis via two handed side arms (Item B), one for each side. The detachable towball unit (Item C) is shown mounted to the crossmember, featuring a mechanism for attaching and detaching the towball. The diagram also depicts the various fasteners required for installation: M12 x 25 bolts and S/P washers (Item D), M10 x 40 x 1.25 bolts and S/P washers (Item E), M12 x 40 bolts, nuts, and S/P washers (Item F), M12 x 22 bolts and S/P washers (Item G), and 12 x 25 flat washers (Item H). Additionally, a flip-up socket plate (Item J) and 10 x 25 flat washers (Item K) are shown. The diagram uses letter labels (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K) to correspond with the parts list. A crucial part of the diagram shows the vehicle's rear bumper area with a 'BUMPER CUT' indicated. This cut-out has specific dimensions: 215mm and 45mm, detailing the area of the bumper that needs to be trimmed to ensure a flush and correct fit for the towbar assembly.
