First Time Setup
1. Automatic Earbud Pairing
Press and hold both touch sensors for over 3 seconds to power ON. The left and right earbuds will flash blue/white, indicating they are ready to pair with your device.

2. Connect via Bluetooth
Select "JLab JBuds Air Icon" in your device settings. Two beeps followed by solid white lights indicate successful pairing.

Adding New / Additional Bluetooth Devices
Turn OFF Bluetooth on a previously paired device. Turn ON Bluetooth on the new device. The earbuds will automatically switch to Bluetooth pairing. Select "JLab JBuds Air Icon" in the new device's settings to pair.
Button Functions
Left Earbud
- Volume Down: Tap once
- Voice Assistant (Siri/OK Google): Tap twice
- Answer Call: Tap once
- End Call: Tap twice
- Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Rewind: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Power ON: Press and hold for over 3 seconds
- Change EQ: Triple tap
Right Earbud
- Volume Up: Tap once
- Answer Call: Tap once
- End Call: Tap twice
- Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Play/Pause: Tap twice
- Fast Forward: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Power ON: Press and hold for over 3 seconds
- Change EQ: Triple tap
Sound Notifications
- Power ON: Ring
- Bluetooth Pairing: Two Beeps
- Low Battery: "Low battery" (Less than 20%)
- Power OFF: Ring
Equalizer Modes
Triple tap the right or left earbud for different EQ settings. Sound notifications will indicate the EQ settings. The JBuds Air Icon cycles through 3 EQ settings.
JLab Signature (One Beep)
JLab C3™ signature sound with enhanced vocals and bass.
Balanced (Two Beeps)
Balanced sound with no extra sound enhancements.
Bass Boost (Three Beeps)
Enhanced bass and sub-bass.
Charging Your Earbuds
Step 1: Ensure L and R match for correct charging.
The earbuds automatically turn OFF and begin charging. Blue lights indicate the earbuds are charging and will turn off once fully charged.

Step 2: Auto Pairing on Open
Earbuds automatically turn ON and re-pair with your device when the charging case is opened.
Charger
Connect the JBuds Air Icon to a computer or USB device with a 5V 1A (or less) output.
LEDs will blink white during charging and remain solid white when fully charged.

Fit
Try all optional Cush Fins and ear tips for the best fit and positioning. The Cush Fin should be aligned by placing it around the microphone port.

Troubleshooting
No Sound in One Earbud (Manual Reset)
- Go to your Bluetooth device settings and "Forget" the JBuds Air Icon.
- Open the charging case and place both earbuds inside.
- Tap the touch sensor on each earbud 3 times quickly. Both earbuds will flash blue and then turn off. Close the charging case once both earbuds are off.
- Wait 10 seconds, then open the charging case. Wait for the left and right earbuds to flash blue/white. You can now pair your Bluetooth device.
Bluetooth Device Not Pairing (or Re-pairing)
- Go to your Bluetooth device settings and "Forget" the JBuds Air Icon.
- Turn Bluetooth OFF and then ON again.
- Open the charging case and wait for the left and right earbuds to flash blue/white.
- Select "JLab JBuds Air Icon" in your device settings to pair again.
Echoes During Calls
If you experience an echo from the microphone or poor call quality with the JBuds Air Icon, ensure the Cush Fins are not blocking the microphone port.

Handy Tips & Warnings
? Handy Tips
- Dry the earbuds completely before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage to the charger. The earbuds are sweat/water-resistant, but the charger is not.
- Both earbuds can connect to your device and be used independently. Removing an earbud from the case automatically connects it.
- Choosing the correct ear tip ensures a significant improvement in sound quality due to proper driver sealing. Test all ear tips for best results.
⚠️ Warnings
- Avoid extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
- Do not drop or pinch the earbuds.
- Earwax may accumulate in the earbuds, reducing sound quality. Gently clean with a cotton swab or small object to improve sound quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or temporarily stop use.
- If you regularly experience discomfort during use, stop using the product and consult a doctor.
- We recommend treating your earbuds like a pair of sunglasses and storing them in a safe place when not in use.
