First Time Setup
Auto-Connect Earbuds
Step 1: Power On. Simultaneously press and hold both touch sensors for 3 seconds to power on. The left and right earbuds will flash blue/white, indicating they are ready to pair.
Step 2: Connect to Bluetooth. In your device's settings, select "JLab JBuds Air Icon". Two beeps will sound, and the white light will remain solid to indicate you are connected.
Connecting New/Additional Bluetooth Devices: Turn off Bluetooth on any previously connected devices. Turn on Bluetooth on the new device. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select "JLab JBuds Air Icon" in your device settings to connect.
Controls and Features
Left Earbud Controls
- Volume Down: Single tap.
- Activate Siri (iOS) or "OK Google" (Android): Double tap.
- Previous Track: Long press for 1 second.
- Power On: Long press for 3 seconds.
- Change EQ: Triple tap.
Right Earbud Controls
- Volume Up: Single tap.
- Answer/End Call: Single tap.
- Hang Up Call: Double tap.
- Reject Call: Long press for 1 second.
- Play/Pause: Double tap.
- Next Track: Long press for 1 second.
- Power On: Long press for 3 seconds.
- Change EQ: Triple tap.
Equalizer (EQ) Modes
Triple tap either the right or left earbud to cycle through different EQ settings. Listen for audio cues to identify the current EQ setting. JBuds Air Icon will cycle through 3 EQ settings.
- JLab Signature Mode (One beep): JLab C3™ signature sound, amplifying vocals and bass.
- Balanced Mode (Two beeps): Even sound, with no extra enhancements.
- Bass Boost Mode (Three beeps): Emphasizes bass and sub-bass.
Powering Off
To turn off the earbuds without the charging case: Go to your Bluetooth device settings and disconnect JBuds Air Icon. The earbuds will power off automatically after 3 minutes.

Charging the Earbuds
Step 1: Match the 'L' and 'R' indicators on the charging case to the corresponding 'L' and 'R' on the earbuds for proper charging. The earbuds will automatically turn off and begin charging. A blue light indicates the earbuds are charging and will turn off when fully charged.
Step 2: Charging the Case. Connect the JBuds Air Icon to a computer or USB 5V 1A (or lower) power source. The LED will pulse white while charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Ear Tips and Cush Fins
Try all the included Cush Fins (ear stabilizers) and ear tips for the best fit and seal. Align the Cush Fin by positioning the contour around the microphone port.
Troubleshooting
One Earbud Not Working (Manual Reset)
Step 1: On your Bluetooth device settings, delete "JLab JBuds Air Icon".
Step 2: Open the charging case, keeping both earbuds inside.
Step 3: Quickly tap the touch sensor on each earbud 3 times. The earbuds will flash blue and then turn off. Once both earbuds are off, close the charging case.
Step 4: Wait 10 seconds, then open the charging case. Wait for the left and right earbuds to flash blue/white. You can now pair your earbuds with your Bluetooth device.
Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting
Step 1: On your Bluetooth device settings, delete "JLab JBuds Air Icon".
Step 2: Turn off Bluetooth ?, then turn it back on.
Step 3: Open the charging case and wait until the left and right earbuds flash blue/white.
Step 4: In your device settings, select "JLab JBuds Air Icon" to reconnect.
Call Echo / Microphone Issues
If you experience microphone echo or poor call quality with JBuds Air Icon, ensure that the Cush Fin ear stabilizers are not blocking the microphone port. Ensure the microphone is clear. ✔️ Microphone Clear, ❌ Microphone Blocked.
Tips
- Before placing earbuds in the charging case, ensure they are completely dry to avoid any damage to the case. The earbuds are sweat/water resistant, but the charging case is not.
- You can use either earbud independently to connect to your device. Simply take an earbud out of the charging case to auto-connect.
- Select the correct ear tips to ensure the driver is properly sealed for improved sound quality. Try all ear tips for the best fit.
Warnings
- ⚠️ Avoid extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
- ⚠️ Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
- Earwax may accumulate in the earbud tips, reducing sound quality. Clean gently with a cotton swab or other small tool to improve sound quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or discontinuing use.
- If you experience regular discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
- We recommend treating your earbuds like a pair of sunglasses – keep them in a safe place when not in use.
- Earbuds are sweat/water resistant, but the charging case is not.
