Polling Rate

- Options: 250Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz, 4000Hz, 8000Hz
D-Pad Direction
Choose 8-way for directional control including diagonal inputs, or 4-way for adjacent directions only.

- Controller: Allows you to customize buttons and assign them to any available controller function for a superior gaming experience.
- Disable [❌]: Makes the selected button unusable. Choose this if you do not want to use a selected button or if it interferes with gameplay.
Thumbstick Tab
The "Thumbstick" sub-tab allows you to adjust the dead zones and sensitivity clutch of your Razer controller's analog sticks.
[Screenshot of Razer Synapse Thumbstick settings for the Wolverine V3, showing dead zone and sensitivity adjustments.]
Dead Zone
The dead zone filters out small movements of the analog stick. Use the sliders to adjust the sensitivity for each analog stick. Lower values make the stick more sensitive but may cause unintended movements known as "stick drift".
Circular Mode
Circular mode measures the completeness of the stick's circular movement based on its physical and digital boundaries. This mode optimizes digital boundaries for smoother movement.
Avoid Double Dead Zone
Double dead zone refers to a dead zone inherent in the controller's hardware or firmware, which some games add an additional dead zone to. This can result in slower controller response and reduced accuracy because the actual dead zone is larger than expected. Enabling "Prevent Double Dead Zone" ensures the controller's dead zone settings remain unchanged and are not overridden by games.
Sensitivity Clutch
Use the slider to set a software limit on the analog stick's movement range when the assigned button is pressed.
Calibration Tab
The "Calibration" sub-tab helps you test thumbstick performance. You can also recalibrate your thumbsticks here to fix potential issues like stick drift.
[Screenshot of Razer Synapse Calibration tab for the Wolverine V3, showing thumbstick testing and recalibration options.]
Linked Games Tab
The "Linked Games" sub-tab allows you to add applications, view peripherals linked to applications, or search for listed applications.
Games
The "Games" sub-tab lets you link applications to your peripherals. You can sort applications by alphabetical order, playtime, or frequency. Applications will be listed here even if they are not linked to a Razer device. To add applications not listed on screen, you can use the "Add" button [➕] to search manually, or the "Scan" button [6] to scan automatically. Click the "Search" button [?] to search for specific games or programs in the list.

After selecting a device, you can see a list of linked applications, add new applications, or remove linked applications. You can use the "View Mode" and "Sort" dropdown menus to filter these applications. To add an application not listed on your peripherals, you can drag and drop the executable file into the box, or use the "Add" button [➕] to open a search window.
