4. Getting Started
Connecting the Controller:
Connect the USB Type A to USB Type C cable to your PC and the controller.
Install Razer Synapse when prompted or download the installer from razer.com/synapse.
5. Using the Controller
Utilizing the Trigger Stop Switches:
The trigger stop switches can be set to 'Locked' or 'Unlocked' positions.

Changing the Replaceable Thumbstick Caps:
Gently pull off the existing thumbstick cap and align the new cap with the stem before pressing down to secure it.

Reassigning the Multi-Function (M1-M6) Mapping:
By default, the M1-M6 bumpers and buttons are unmapped. Use the steps below or Razer Synapse to remap them.
- Hold down the Function button and the Multi-Function bumper/button you want to remap. This will activate Mapping Mode (Glowing White).
- Press the button you want to assign to it. The controller will indicate "Remap Successful" (Blinking Green).
Using the Sensitivity Clutch Function:
Holding down the assigned button will lower the chosen analog stick's sensitivity by up to 50%.
Default: Effect on movement
Low Sensitivity: Effect on movement
Default: Effect on aiming
Low Sensitivity: Effect on aiming
The sensitivity clutch function can be assigned and customized through Razer Synapse.
6. Configuring Your Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K PC
This guide provides an overview of the Razer Synapse app. The New Razer Synapse requires an Internet connection to install, update, and access cloud-based features. Registering for a Razer ID account is recommended but optional.
Synapse UI Navigation Buttons:
- [Minimize]: Minimizes the app to the taskbar while it runs in the background.
- [Maximize]: Expands the browser window to fill the entire screen.
- [Close]: Closes all relevant tabs and terminates the application completely.
- [Previous Tab]: Returns you to the last tab you have visited.
- [Next Tab]: Moves you to the next page.
- [Refresh Tab]: Reloads the current page.
- [Download Update]: Indicates changes to the app.
- [More]: Opens a pop-up for Devices, Modules, and Other Installed Apps.
- [Settings] (⚙️): Opens the Settings tab.
- [Profile] (?): Opens a pop-up for Log In, Feedback, Rate This Software, Add WiFi Device, and Exit options.
- [Info] (❓): Hovering over this button pops up additional information about a feature or function.
Synapse Tabs:
Dashboard:
The Dashboard subtab is an overview of your Razer Synapse, where you can access all your Razer devices, modules, and online services. It also highlights products like the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra.
Gamer Room:
The Gamer Room subtab shows devices with the Razer Aether Light feature, allowing you to view and manage them. It includes features like Synapse Override for lighting customization and devices controlled by the Gamer Room app.
Devices & Modules:
This subtab displays installed and available modules for installation, such as Alexa and Macro, and lists updated modules like the Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K PC.
Global Shortcuts:
Bind operations or Razer Synapse functions to custom key-combinations that apply across all device profiles. Note that only Razer Synapse-enabled device inputs are recognized.
Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K Tab:
This is the main tab for your Razer controller. Here you can change device settings like button assignments, thumbstick deadzone, sensitivity, and polling rate. Changes are saved automatically.
- Profiles Dropdown Bar: Quickly change profiles.
- Miscellaneous: Access options related to your current profile.
- On-board Profiles: Manage saved profiles on the device's internal memory.
Customize Subtab:
Modify your controller's button assignments. This includes options for View Button, Menu Button, Share Button, and D-pad directions (4-way/8-way).
Profile Settings:
Profiles store your Razer device settings. You can adjust the Polling Rate for better responsiveness.
D-Pad Directions: Choose between 8-way or 4-way directional input.
Multi-Function Assignment:
Customize buttons with options like 'Default', 'Keyboard Function' (with optional Turbo mode), 'Controller' (assigning other controller functions), or 'Disable' (making the button unusable).
Thumbsticks Subtab:
Adjust deadzones and clutch sensitivities of your analog sticks. Features include Deadzone adjustment, Circularity Mode for smoother movement, and Prevent Double Deadzones to compensate for game-added deadzones.
Calibration Subtab:
Test the performance of your thumbsticks and recalibrate them to fix issues like stick drift.
Linked Games Tab:
Add apps, view peripherals linked to apps, or search for listed apps.
- Games Subtab: Link apps to peripherals, sort apps, and add new ones via [➕] or by scanning [?].
- Devices Subtab: View your peripherals and their linked apps. Filter apps, add new ones by dragging executables, or use Refresh [?], Search [?], or Browse options.
Settings Tab:
- Synapse Subtab: Configure Auto Launch, Notifications, Recommendations, Tutorials Reset, and Profile Migration.
- Device Lighting: Control lighting effects on your device.
- General Subtab: Access language settings and view software information (version, copyright, terms of use, social links).
Feedback Tab:
Help improve Razer Synapse by providing comments, suggestions, and reporting problems. You can contact support directly and earn rewards for reporting bugs through the Bug Bounty Program [?].
7. Safety and Maintenance
Safety Guidelines:
- For operating or troubleshooting issues, contact Razer support at mysupport.razer.com. Do not attempt to service the device yourself.
- Do not disassemble the device.
- Keep the controller and accessories out of reach of small children.
- Keep the device away from liquid, humidity, or moisture. Operate within the temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F).
Maintenance and Use:
The Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K PC requires minimum maintenance. Once a month, unplug the device and clean it using a soft cloth or cotton to prevent dirt buildup. Do not use soap or harsh cleaning agents.
