Get Started
Power On/Off
Power On: Short press the main power button. Press again to turn off the display screen. The unit enters hibernation and turns off the screen if unused for 5 minutes.
Power Off: Long press the main power button for about 3 seconds.
Tip: The power station cannot be turned off via long press while charging; unplug the charging cable first.
Power Your Appliances
Via USB Output Port: Connect devices directly to the USB ports.
Via AC Output Socket: Press the AC output button to turn the socket on/off. Ensure the total power of connected appliances is less than the socket's rated power (refer to X-Boost instructions for details).
AC Timeout Tip: The AC output port may automatically turn off if idle. For continuous power to devices like refrigerators, set the AC timeout interval to "never" in the EcoFlow app. Regularly check the battery level.
Via DC Output Port (Cigarette Lighter): Press the DC output button to turn the port on/off. Ensure the appliance's starting current requirements are met to avoid startup issues.
Charge Your Power Station
From a Wall Outlet: Connect the AC input port to a wall outlet using the provided AC charging cable. Recommended: use a power socket with a capacity over 10A. Plug directly into the wall outlet, not an extension socket.
- Maximum AC Input Power: US/JP/BR: 320W; CN/EU/ZA/UK/AU/KR/CH: 305W.
From Solar: Connect the solar input port to solar panels using a solar charging cable (sold separately). Ensure the solar panel's output voltage is less than 30V before connecting.
From a Car Cigarette Lighter: Connect the car input port to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket using the provided car charging cable. Start the vehicle before charging and ensure the cable is securely connected.

X-Boost: Powering High-Wattage Appliances
The AC output sockets support X-Boost, allowing devices up to 600W (450W for JP version) to be powered without overload protection failure.
- X-Boost is enabled by default. Connect high-wattage appliances to an AC socket.
- Enable/disable X-Boost in the EcoFlow app.
- X-Boost is unavailable in bypass mode.
Bypass Mode: Devices receive grid power directly when the station is connected to the grid via AC input and to devices via AC output.
X-Boost Support: Suitable for heating and motor-driven devices. Does not support devices with voltage protection (e.g., precise instruments). Test compatibility with your devices.
Backup for Essential Devices
Use the power station for backup power during outages. It automatically transfers to battery power when the grid fails.
- How to Use: 1. Connect the station to a wall outlet for grid power. 2. Connect appliances to the station's AC output.
- Transfer Time: RIVER 3 / RIVER 3 (230) supports Emergency Power Supply (EPS) with a transfer time within 20ms. RIVER 3 (10 ms UPS) supports Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a transfer time within 10ms.
- Device Compatibility: Ensure transfer time meets device needs. For RIVER 3/230, do not connect devices requiring uninterrupted power (desktops, NAS, servers). Power only one device (max 300W) at a time to avoid overload.
